D3 needs to be a M rated game
With all the hints and rumors of the D3’s story, and it’s dark setting, with the arrival of Darkness and such, I really feel that D3 needs to be rated M for Mature, so that they can go all in on that dark plot. Destiny’s narrative would be so much better if it felt a bit more mature.

I turned to see the Last City before me. It was in ruin, and flames burst from the tower. I turned back to see myself, leading the army. It was now visible. The army....was taken.

If we became "Dark" Guardians I wouldn't mind seeing a gritty and brutal Destiny 3. Nolan Bot trying to tell me not to kill the Goth boy... Son, I've been wanting to kill his ass since D1 pre alpha footage. Dinklebot would've understood that...

1 ReplyAgreed it should be an "M rated game,"but whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

The Red War was an attack on the City and it's people....funny but I never saw anyone die. No moments of fear from random citizens, desperate moments as people flee for their lives or Guardians being slaughtered as their Light fled. I owe this lack of depth to the T rating. Someone somewhere decided Oh It's Too Graphic For Players. Oh and fighting against Hive gods who have killed billions during their existence isn't a tad too dark? Obviously this is my opinion but if they are going to tell a story about the last people on Earth fighting to survive against aliens, extinction and forces beyond our comprehension there needs to be more teeth, more Oh I Need Therapy After Playing This and definitely more depth.

Like imagine if some guardians did choose the darkness and it became our job to take them out. Zavala saying something like: “I’m sorry to ask you this guardians but...they are no longer our brothers and sisters...”. And our guardian sick of all of this says “And neither are you, Zavala.”. We then leave the last city (we wouldn’t be the first) and while we still fight the darkness and protect humanity we will no longer stand with the vanguard.

5 RepliesI don't think they should be making another sequel at all, D2's launch was -blam!-ing horrendous and I guarantee that if D3 is a thing its most likely going to release in the same state as D2 Y1. They should just keep adding onto D2 at this point.

Whats an M rating going to change? unless there is strong graphic violence (blood spurt, limb severage). Or adult/sexual themes it is not warranted
