Let me preface this by saying i main a warlock. I feel like specteal blades as a whole needs a buff, 5 lifht swipes to kill a super is really dumb, and i thiught the super was fine till i actually used it. The hit registration is awful, the super lasts really short. And if someone on the other team is using a super, you’re basically dead.
Let me propose some changes
3 hits to kill any super, or a light swipe and a heavy swipe
The super should last as long as arc staff
And fix hit detection on the super
Is that really too much to ask, its such an interesting super, and its sad that the super falls short
-
a light attack and heavy together does kill supers already i main the class and i was able to pull it off a couple times
-
1 ReplyMaybe just use heavy swipes on tankier targets

8 RepliesSpectral blades as a whole subclass is garbage.

9 RepliesOne or two light attacks followed by a strong attack kills all supers. Get good. I’ve killed fists of havoc, sun breakers, arc striders, sentinels. The only thing I would agree with is the duration. You have to chose between using the truesight perk for tactical advantages or using the light attack for dodging purposes. If the attacks didn’t take so much of the super energy to use it would be much better. And to the people saying this isn’t a good subclass, you must have low skill. This is a class with a variable skill gap. The more you use the flawless execution perk the more you’ll see how powerful the class is. I’m pretty sure all the people who think this is a week subclass don’t main a hunter. None of the hunter subclasses are very powerful at face value versus the other classes. They all have a gimmick that takes skill to really give you an edge. P.s. I think bungie hates hunters simply because they are the only class that doesn’t have a one hit kill perk across all their sill trees.

It also needs a speed buff or something to help it close distances better.

9 RepliesHonestly the super isnt the focal point on what makes way of the wraith great, saying is that you have a debuff you can proc every time you get a precision kill while crouched and melee something. On top of that it gives you 10 seconds of invis and wallhacks, and in those 10 seconds if you become unstealthed you can keep adding the debuff. Its not an ideal super for PvP, but regardless the super of this path is not the focal point of the class at the moment.

Unlimited melting point

Killing something with explosive rounds doesn’t grant the see through walls part of flawless execution
-
As long as hunters never get blink back do what you like to it.
-
buff... remove the need to crouch to proc perfect execution just need headshots... make the super more like arc blade so way more movement.

7 RepliesBro compared to the warlocks solar super in pvp its fine
-
1 ReplyIt lasts longer while you’re invisible. I think it’s fine, but Poledancer is waaaay too good in comparison.
-
Maybe bungie could increase the duration by a few seconds and amp up the speed but other than that it's pretty okay
-
2 RepliesYeah with the risk of sounding kinda whiny, hunters got the short end of the stick with subclasses this time around. Blade barrage is an amazing super and some of the stuff nightstalker got was cool. But compared to what the other classes got ehh not so great. Not saying their shit and everything else should be nerfed beyond playability or that they should all be insanely buffed. Just saying that they aren’t as good compared to the other stuff.

It works great in pve, the gamemode it seems to be designed for, my friend loves and destroys with it in pve

2 RepliesLets talk about those terrible other perks on the wraith tree! Crouched?!? Crouched?!? Who the **** crouches to kill anything in this game??? Hunters are all about staying mobile. Now you expect me to stop dead and crouch to kill an enemy? And yes, I know shogun counts in PvP but honestly it’s at least 2x harder to do that. And hunters aren’t even invisible to other players so it’s kind of worthless to get a precision kill just for half invisibility. And that smoke bomb?? What does it even do? I main a hunter and was ONLY a bladedancer for D1 PvP. This pathetic attempt at a redo is crap. Its terrible. The perks are awful and the super is lame. See through walls? Yeah, for 2 milliseconds. It’s bad. Bad class. I miss bladedancer.

I agree with damage, time and hit detection. They are garbage for something called a super. In the right hands the invis + wallhacks combo is half a super, better to crouch than have something good nerfed. Actually every guardian not just hunters need a crouch spam nerf in my opinion. For example getting slower and slower to crouch as you spam it. That would also bandage some of the hitdetections crap going on in this lovely peer 2 perr game...
-
The entire class is trash. We have a shitty version of Melting Point and to trigger invisibly has to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of.
-
It’s really hard to steer it, that’s what I hate. You waste 50% of your strikes on air
-
3 RepliesI think having every hit against an enemy increase damage against that enemy by 10% would be good. Stacking as well. So lets assume you can get 15 hits on a boss; Sure, your own DPS is shit, but you just increased your teammate's DPS by 150% for a short time.
-
My main gripe is just hit detection. It's way harder than any other roaming super to nail a guardian with an attack. Air hits also often track poorly or don't combo.
-
Honestly hit detection needs fixing throughout this whole game. Melee attacks have hit detection issues, swords have issues, both striker and sentinel have big hit detection issues (especially in PvE), bottom tree and middle tree of titan hammers has hit detection issues, arc strider has some, though they are minimized by its range, etc. Basically anything that does a direct physical hit consistently has some amount of hit detection issues, and it shows itself in everything from suddenly teleporting through and enemy, to deal less than normal damage on a hit or no damage at all. This is an issue that has been around for a long time, however since it is so far reaching, it is likely a difficult one to fix, and it seems like it may be a core mechanics issue.
-
Yeah its pretty garbage. Not that i ever used it

Edited by RobinsonsHood: 9/17/2018 8:03:21 PMMaybe it’s better with the exotic chest piece. That might fix the super from not lasting.
