-You’re not a one man powerhouse with some sort of unique mechanic applied only to you that allows you to never lose motes. If you run into the invasion portal with even a small blocker worth of motes, just stop. The bank is literally right there. Same goes to the people running through huge groups of enemies with a packed inventory of motes, just don’t do it.
-See that bar up the top of the screen? That tells you how close to the primeval you are in terms of motes. You can literally see how close to getting 75 motes you are in exact numbers. Now look at the indicator for how many motes you’re holding. Do you have way more than we need to summon a primeval? How about you run over to the bank and dunk those boys in there so we can dunk on the boys on the other team!
-You’re in a team, please act like it. As much as you’d love to be the one to get every single mote, that isn’t always helpful. See that team mate there, that one directly next to you? Yep, that one, the one with 14 motes. How about this: Let him grab that one single mote from the one insignificant dreg he just murdered so he can bank his motes and send a big blocked over to the enemy and stop worrying about losing all the motes he has on him.
And remember,
5 motes = Small blocker
10 motes = Medium blocker
15 motes = Large blocker
Pay attention to the counters next to people’s names. If your team mate is close to one of these numbers, let them grab motes, especially if they’re close to a higher number like 10 or 15. Same goes for invasions, if someone has 15 motes go for them, do not prioritise the person with 0 motes.
EDIT: I changed the wording a lot on my post because people were, somewhat reasonably, focusing far too much on the way I said things rather than what I was saying. My intention with this post is to give advice, not to pay huge attention to how I give that advice. I also added the note about blocker costs, because although the game literally tells you in a tip and on screen whenever you reach a certain number of motes, some people are still not realising how it works.
