What's the word on ft meds in EP
I know EP drops are completely rng, but I'm curious about what folks have experienced using fireteam medallions (maybe 3oC). Better RNG on alt characters? I wanna hear about it.
I'm trying to get the shotgun before I'm out of town for the rest of the week... ~90 clears and I've managed to grab the smg and sniper (on my hunter and titan respectively, I believe. My original guardian is a warlock, but I def run my hunter more).
Use this thread to express your luck, strats you think might be effective for drops, or commiserate on your bad rng streaks.

15 clears...nothing but shaders

I use the ghost shell for improved loot from public events and got the SMG, sniper and 2 shotguns in only 17 boss kills with the shotguns dropping back to back. No clue if it helps or I just got really lucky but I'm happy about it!

worked for me. 33 clears got 4 snipers, shotty and smg. i still think it is all up to the rng gods. one guy we had in our 9 man team got all three weapons in 3 clears.

I only use foot medicines at night when I go to bed.

In 40 boss kills I’ve gotten 2 shotguns, 1 smg, and 1 sniper without using any buffs of any kind

20 clears. 1 shotgun. Haven’t used a worthless fire team medallion since week 1.

2 Replies41 clears Smg & 2x Shotguns are now mine, both shotguns dropped yesterday on my Warlock, using the Ep emblem 3oc fire team medallion, AND using a Ghost that gives increased loot from public events. I'm unsure if the Ghost helped add the gun to the loot pool, but hey u never know.😁

I got the shotgun and smg in 4 runs.

14 total clears , didnt use any ft medallions and got all the weapons

It took me 50 clears to get all the weapons. But that’s a little misleading because of the weeks I played after getting a drop to help friends. It was 8-10 games per drop. I still don’t have sparrow or ghost. They added something so each clear increases your chance of a drop if you didn’t get one. I don’t know if it had to be same character or streaks in a session. I suggest just trying with the same character until you get the drop. This week is best for shotgun because that is the only drop. If you keep up with add control and have a group that isn’t full of blueberries this boss isn’t hard to farm.

1 ReplyI got everything, ship sparrow, and ghost included, except the shotgun in less than 10 runs. I used no boosters of any kind.

Whenever I run EP I always use my void Warlock, bottom tree super, Vortex grenade and Tractor Canon. It does heaps of damage and can help out other random void users too.

I have a lot of those fire team medallions and I pop one every time I play anything. I bet they only increase rewards by like 10%. Not much of a difference but if you have lots of bright dust why not use them? I farmed EP level 7 last week like 13 times and got the shotgun on the 4-5 attempt. It was my first time farming level 7.

Before the update i got every weapon, and have 1 of each on my characters, but now i just do it for fun and help others, i have noticed the drop rate is much less than before

If you do the 0 second start/farm that stops the drop chance from increasing on completions with no drops.
