I was very excited about the "go fast" update, and while it did bring a ton of positive improvements to weapons and balance, what did it do about the "going fast" part? The whole update was named after it, yet mobility is still largely irrelevant. Furthermore, Titans and Warlocks can now break base ground speed using their new improved glide, leaving Hunters - the MOBILITY class - way behind.
Double jumps are still extremely underwhelming and feel literally useless since Triple Jump exists, and they all feel slow and sluggish.
Hunters are supposed to be the most mobile class, yet they are now the slowest one in the game.
I am really liking the update, I just think the title was very misleading. It should have been called "The - go fast unless you're a hunter - update".
Hunters are supposed to be the most mobile class, yet they are now the slowest one in the game.
You're full of shite. Strafe Jump+St0mp-EE5. Mobility can be whatever you like but jump where you need to go rather than run. Mobility affects jumping not sprinting.

Yeah pretty much.

I agree

Mobility =/= speed. "the ability to move or be moved freely and easily." - provided by Google. nothing in there says fast, it rather alludes to being agile, as it was called in D1. Dodging, lateral jumps, and invisibility make them very agile, and hard to catch. Each class has a gimmick: Hunter - Avoid the damage by not getting hit. Titan - Tank the damage. Warlock - Recover the damage quickly.

3 RepliesTitans have always been designed around being quick and hard hitting commandos. They need that speed to match their agressiv kit Hunters are designed to more slippery and hard to catch. It's funny because a class named the hunters plays way better in a passive manner avoiding fire and waiting for an opening

Eye roll. Hunters are not supposed to be the fastest class. The are supposed to be (and are) the most agile.

While nothing in this game, to me, is game-breaking, I have to agree the changes feel a little silly when you consider as a titan I can literally walk, double jump, and catch up to a hunter running away from me full speed. Nothing they can do. I didn't even sprint. My hunter is my main, btw. So I have to agree with this one. Honestly, though, I like the changes on the whole. I never played Destiny (1), so I wear no rose colored glasses, and have to say this game is probably the best fps I've ever played. I wish the d1 returnees would take the glasses off and just appreciate it for what it is. If they changed the gun system, maybe they felt it would be better. And if you'd never played d1, would you think any other way should be used? I won't say the game is perfect...but it's absolutely amazing. If you want to play d1, go play d1. Don't ruin d2 with d1 systems.

2 RepliesGood. Tired of seeing nothing but easy mode Hunters.

1 ReplyIn D1, Hunters weren’t really the fastest class and they all made it work... for the most part. By the way... wanna beat a titan skater? Turn 90 degrees and run forward a lil bit and watch them slam into a wall or try to aim at you while moving faster than a nascar on crack. Neither situation works out well for them... unless you suck lol

glad I'm not the only one feeling like this
