I would love to be able to replay any mission whenever I like. So here's my idea: when you interact with Ikora, instead of seeing just 3 missions, there will be three sub-menus: the first is the Vanguard research gear set, the second will be three daily (yes, daily) heroic missions, and then a third menu that displays all in-game missions that you can select and replay. The system will operate similar to Destiny 1's daily heroic missions. Every day, three missions will be selected as heroic missions that, when you play them, reward you with Vanguard Research Tokens and Legendary Shards. All other missions will be able to be replayed, with the mission's difficulty being scaled to around your current Power level. Heroic missions, meanwhile, will be made more difficult and/or include modifiers (like Heroic Missions in D1). This system, rather than the current 3 missions a week system, will provide Guardians with more endgame content, daily challenges to play, and will allow any Guardian to replay their favorite story missions, or even replay entre story arcs with cutscenes, whenever they want.
