Before you ask why it isn't a PC, it's because I honestly prefer laptops due to portability. I don't care about the thinness of laptops to be honest, so anything that has great specs and is worth the value is what I want.
*Edit:* I was able to narrow the choices down to two, but im stuck on which one to get. Here's the link to the poll: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/241884065/0/0

Edited by Chicken RICK: 1/17/2018 7:18:57 AMYour computer doesn’t need to be portable, that’s what Phones are for a Desktop is significantly better than a laptop, much more powerful and cost less. Plus it’s a blast to build unless you absolutely need a laptop for work or something, it’s completely idiotic to get a laptop over a desktop a 1000 laptop will be pretty trash, a 1000 desktop will blow it out of the water

If you want something portable I recommend a micro itx pc they are super compact and fit almost anywhere but they out preform consoles and most laptops (due to parts being smaller they are produced for less) I can put together a parts list for you if you want.

1 ReplyAny Alienware one is really good

Bought the Dell for my wife last year. It's a good machine for what I paid ($750). Only knock I have is it's a laptop but she wanted a laptop so I got her one I can enjoy as well.

I have the Dell Inspiron 7000 that I got for $899 ($998 after taxes) IPS display 128 gb ssd 1050 ti 8gb Ram

1 Replymight be a stretch right here but i think you could get a decent pc (that runs current games fine) plus a switch for travelling for your budget. would that be an option, op?

1 ReplyIf you’re set on a laptop, try the HP Omen range.
-
My wife got me a msi leopard pro gaming laptop last year which seems good for about 1000 euro, VR ready and a 1050ti card
-
1 ReplyI'd look at MSI. They have tons of different models and are decently priced. You should be able to get something with a GTX 1060. I'd find models for you, but Idk UK/Europe pricing (sorry, Idk if that symbol is GBP or Euro lol).

Gaming laptop for 1000? Might as well buy a toaster instead. Gotta go up quite a bit more if you want something decent.
-
My advice, get the best Asus laptop that $1000 can buy.
-
Never go Alienware. If you absolutely must spend that much money on a pretty much non-upgradable laptop, Razer or Asus would be your best bet.

1 ReplyEdited by Gold E Lokz: 1/14/2018 8:52:21 AMWith that budget, you're better off building a desktop. If the laptop is a must, however, you can't go wrong with Dell/Alienware. Asus is also a safe bet.
-
2 RepliesWhat settings/games are you wanting to run? Unfortunately, you pay the premium for the portability. £1000 doesn't take you all that far in laptops.
-
With ram and gpu prices the way they are now one could argue it'd be better to get a pre built anyway. Haven't had an excuse to look at laptops recently. All I got is avoid -blam!-in alienware.
-
I don't know much but Asus has some good laptops
