Eververse: you know what needs to happen.

First of all, understand that this feedback is meant to be productive. I'm not here to mercilessly spit all over this game and the developers behind it. With that being said, it is time for myself to join the topic with this feedback. Eververse has always left a queasy feeling within the stomach of players since its creation I'd say. The fears of a game franchise with this much potential becoming rotted by greedy monetization were always there for me, but during the original Destiny's time in the sun I never felt too worried. I was fine with Eververse in Destiny until the sequel was released. I now see that that through either Activision or Bungie's hands, this franchise is now on a path to destruction. To be clear, we as players do not know if this is Bungie simply becoming greedy or Activision enforcing already existing greed. While I choose not to point to a specific source, the fact remains unchanged. Eververse needs to go, or your game will die. This is a simple truth. While from a buisness standpoint, I'm sure that you may disagree and point out sales figures or something. While those numbers may have some relevance, it does not change the fact that Bungie's reputation as a developer will go from a prestige hallmark of console gaming to another EA ready to sink with its own greedy ship. Good luck trying to sell any content once this happens (some argue that it already has.) My main point with all of this is simple. I'm confident that Eververse will not be removed as everyone wants it to be, and you will try to make quality of life changes to Eververse loot (let's say you add some previously Eververse exclusive ghosts and ships to a strike playlist) and call it a day. This plan will not work, and you simply have to remove Eververse instead. Your reputation as a developer is already decreasing rapidly, and this is your only route of redemption at this point. This is the truth of the situation, whether you like it or not. Like I said, I truly do not believe that you will do what the players want and you will try to find many other ineffective ways out of this instead. Do you know how much that it hurts me to say that? I really used to respect and admire you as a developer, and it breaks my heart to know that my feelings towards you have changed so drastically. Please, Bungie, prove me wrong on this. Become the pioneer that breaks this trend of greed that has plagued developers and publishers. If not, then you will be doomed to failure. I say this as a helpful warning, for I truly do not want to see this franchise and game developer die.
