I disagree with you that the Vault and Black Garden are "Ascendant" realms. The Vex always were able to hop through time and space and thus different realities. In order to gain access to Oryx's throne, we had to become Ascendant ourselves. All we had to do to get to the Vault and the Black Garden was look in the right places and find what was essentially a key. We never actually manifested a change in ourselves like we did with Oryx. It is impossible to say who came around first (Vex or Hive), but when Crota cut the tear that let them in, both were already well advanced into their histories enough to fight to a stalemate. So the Vex were already well on their way to trying to conquer the universe, so the Vault likely already existed before Crota's cut.

 • The Vault and Garden are mock Ascendent Realms, meaning that even though the Vex definitely already had similar locations set in different planes of time and space, they still adjusted these places to be like Throne Realms Also, remember Crota’s Throne World? To enter it we did exactly what we did for the Vault of Glass: stood on the key to the door. Each Throne is different, and u can’t base all of them off of Oryx’s When the Vex and Hive each began doesn’t matter in terms of when they accomplished some significant thing, what matters is what happens that leads to those accomplishments. Now, please read carefully and keep your mind open because this next part is a real mind bender: The Vault is currently present in all time and space because that’s how it was created to be. BUT, there was a time before it was made in any single timeline, so at that point did not exist anywhere. If it has always existed, then it would have existed before the Vex; consider how the Vex originated from one point in time and then spread into the past and future, they weren’t just instantly everywhere as soon as they were created or before they were created. So, when the Vex figures how to make a Throne World, they built the Vault, and at the exact moment they finished building it it suddenly existed in the past and future and all other presents. To summarize: Something cannot exist if it was never once made to exist

 • I get what your saying, it’s hard to think about, but I think I understand. But I have a quick question, since the Vex understand space, time, and dimension, could the Vault of Glass be a form of a 4-Dimensional entity? It seem to be able to exist at a certain time, in a certain location and appeared out of no where but is as old as time or is it simply a Paradox?
Man, I love the destiny’s lore and complex ideas
• It is definitely very difficult to think about lol I️ don’t know about being 4th dimensional; more like tran-spacial. The Vault was built only once, probably even at a time that we could identify if not a place as well, but from the moment it came into existence it became one with time and space as if it had always existed. It is probably less than several millennia old but dating it tells us it is as old as the universe because it has been made to exist from the beginning to the end of time I️ don’t know how the Vex make the Vault appear in different places (Venus most definitely is not its only home. The Vex actually moved it there after the Traveler terraformed it), but it probably has more to do with its omnipresence rather than a 4th dimension The Black Garden (and supposedly the other Vex Gardens that were mentioned in D2) was actually woven out of the bonds of space and time by The Undying Mind in a way very similar to how the Vault exists. This somehow makes these areas unbound by terrestrial constraints, which can explain our inability to date the creation of any of these locations and the Vex’s ability to move things like their Vault and other installations as was described to have happened during the Golden Age

 • Thanks, just wanted to check before I started to think that it was a 4th dimension entity.
