clearly bungie wanted destiny 2 to flop so that getting out of the contract wont be awkward so it will be like a its a me not you thing.. They know they did not produce a quality these guys are not idiots , it was done on purpose.

5 RepliesUmm yeah. I get what your saying but you need to read the contract. If Bungie doesn't complete the contract ATVI will retain ALL rights to the Destiny franchise. If Bungie goes bankrupt or is otherwise financially unable to continue, once again ATVI will obtain ALL licensing rights to the entire Destiny franchise. Bungie is in over its' head, way over its' head, wrt this contract. Every missed milestone Bungie loses bonuses, Every "key individual" who leaves or is fired by Bungie, ATVI replaces them with one of their guys. This contract is NOT Bungie friendly.

3 RepliesThat’s not how it works buddy. They lose everything if they don’t live up to the finical contractual demands to Activision.

Someone knows nothing about business.

I did come to a similar conclusion months ago. They cant have seriously thought this was acceptable? But they are carrying on regardless at the moment.

2 RepliesActivision have a clause where they get a share in Bungie, if sales do not live up to expectations. So how would making a flop, get them off the hook?

Edited by Unforgiven: 11/18/2017 3:48:30 AMUm Reviews and Sales clearly differ with your OPINION so I guess they will be ok come NEXT game. It all depends on sales and money talks my friend. Looks to me like you bought it. And still here posting, and managed to level your characters up, so I guess you got your money's worth.

It feels like it was on purpose lol agreed
-
Well it's more that the studio is obligated to produce these games so long as they are profitable within acceptable margins according to activision, but judging by this game's reception that might not be for very much longer.

I like your crack pot theory.

Sorry but i gotta pull you up there ... "these guys are not idiots" ??? Who are you trying to kid? Ha ha ha yes they are!

3 RepliesEdited by SirMang: 11/17/2017 7:16:13 PMSales figures state otherwise. And bottomline, that's all that matters. But nice conspiracy theory regardless! https://www.engadget.com/2017/10/23/destiny-2-is-2017-s-best-selling-game-after-just-one-month/

Well done spymaster. Must have been dangerous infiltrating Bungie HQ like that. You did a courageous thing for your fellow man.
