I'm a little ocd with laundry, I can do it 3/4 times a week.. I change my bedding every couple of days, don't rewear clothes even if they're clean and smell fine and even offer to do my mum and partners.. Even tho I live alone. I think it's more because I love the smell of fresh laundry filling up my flat! I also love tackling those stubborn stains that are near impossible to get out! I'm yet to be beaten by one 😂

Dear squiddington Last Sunday I made the terrible mistake of cooking bolognaise sauce whilst wearing a white shirt. Later that day I happened upon a mirror in my home , the full length one in my bedroom ,and to my horror my once white shirt was splattered with little red greasy spots, this won’t do I thought,so I removed my soiled garment and proceeded to remove the stains with soap and warm water but with very poor results . I was wondering you being a professional stain remover if you could possibly provide me with any tips for my shirt . Other than the obvious wear an apron. Yours sincerely Varvatos. P.S. Sorry for forgetting the did

  • Dear Varvatos, Thank you for your comment, I'm sorry to hear that this happened to a white shirt and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Without looking In my cupboard of cleaning wonders to double check names I may be a little useless but if I remember correctly there are a couple of things that could help! Vanish foam (or the powder that you can turn Into a gritty paste which is my preferred) scrub into the stained areas and let is settle for a few minutes then you can either scrub it off in warm water to lift the stubbornness and then /or just throw it into the washing machine on a hot wash with the paste still scrubbed in.. Well as hot as it can go without shrinking! Check the label! You may have to do this again depending how bad the staining is! If you can't be bothered to scrub.. Throwing just the liquid or powder in the machine will work to but I recommend scrub! White vinegar is also pretty good! for best results, soak the stained areas in white vinegar and I mean properly soak then try a warm wash with it still soaked in. Obviously don't forget detergent! Good luck, Squid.
