How does one illegally mod a holster?
Which laws in the D2 World regulate the modding of hand cannon holsters?
Which mods are legal and which are not?
If the particular mod involves whale bone, ivory, rhino horn or maybe child labour, how does that make readying my weapon faster?

Lucky pants having a modded holster makes me think of this old movie, "The Great Silence". Bounty hunter sorta-western, main character fights with a semi-auto pistol he keeps in a spring loaded wooden box type holster. Yeah, a fully enclosed wooden box holster with a spring loaded lid. He's in Alaska i think so the box keeps the snow out of his gun too i guess?

2 RepliesAssuming youre referring to Lucky Pants, im pretty sure the device on the legs is some kind of electromagnet that the gun just sticks to. This allows the gun to be effortlessly popped off your leg and aimed, which explains why the exotic gives a huge buff to handling. I think Lucky Pants is kind of a play on the "High Noon" standoff kinda trope, where he who draws the fastest wins. its a fun idea, if a little situational

As far as I can tell, it's illegal in terms of Crucible regulations, some kind of unfair advantage. I mean, nerfs are basically canon according to the Mida lore in D2 so obviously the Crucible is regulated pretty harshly in canon.

Well, the illegally modified holster perk gives 2 buffs. Increases hand cannon ready speed Increases hand cannon accuracy Now if we were to take note that this is what cayde wanted to use to beat shaxx this would help on humongous levels as it gives you ready speed and large accuracy to take them out fast, which in turn is unfair as it can kill guardians before they can react. MIDA can’t be banned as it comes from as it says “From another timeline” it can’t be enforced by another version of reality. Therefor sense caydes pants are not only unfair, but they aren’t from an unidentifiable part of time and space meaning that this won’t allow for acceptions. Done.

I think the lore page for Lucky Pants has Cayde running queries on Crucible rules. So I assume it's illegal according to Shaxx's ideas of fair play.
