Panic slam is enough. A panic shield that comes up frequently would make titans way too hard to kill at a distance. I think we can all relate to the team shot problem. This might be a good idea once that's fixed. That's a pretty big maybe.

  • The panic shield is different from the titan barricade. I’m satisfied with the panic shield as is, but I have a small issue with the time it takes to activate the barricade. That is why I suggested making an exotic out of it to make it somewhat balanced.

  • You're talking about ward of dawn. The shield is the class ability. I'm saying since team shotting is so common in D2 that the barricade will be a problem as well until that's fixed.

  • No I’m not talking about ward of dawn. I meant the class abilities. My idea would only make the barricade pop up without the beginning animation. The animation to bring up the barricade takes a tad too long, but instead of scraping it completely make an exotic armor for it. The cooldown will still be the same unless an instant shield isn’t OP enough.

    That's exactly what I'm talking about. The barricade on the titan where you hold b. If it wasn't for team shotting, making it faster for practical uses would be appropriate. But since team shotting is strictly based on line of fire, it would be too protective.

  • But team shooting is part of the game. I only run into that problem when I’m playing trials or a good clan, and that problem arises due to the lack of different pvp types. If it’s too OP that is why it would be an exotic gear that way not every titan could use it and one would have to compromise between other titan exotics.

  • That would be way more useful than the rest of the exotics. That would save people so often. This game isn't even supposed to be about team shooting anyway. There's nothing else in the game that would support team shotting that much.

  • If you get a team kill in crucible Shax says that’s what fire teams are for. Defeating Calus requires team shooting. I don’t like it either to be honest but this game emphasizes team play and sticking together. The barricade is already fast but how is one second faster making it better than any other exotic? It would be the same principle as not having to reload your auto rifle with the actium war rig.

  • I can just see it as a potential over used panic button. As far as team shotting, that's a design flaw. If that really is what they want, then oh well, it's not working for pvp. Raids are obviously team based. But pvp being purely team based as well is a whole different discussion.

  • It won’t be overused because the cooldown is the same. The barricade just pops out a bit faster without an animation. The titan still has a possibility of losing health but it would eliminate dying due to the barricade popping out fast enough.

  • So far pvp is team based. Supremacy requires a shooter-grabber combo and capture works best if sticking with your team and two flags. Competitive games also rely on sticking with a team to decrease the use of team lives. Not having a free-for-all type match proves that. I agree with you though. They need to fix that to accommodate all game types.
