Cayde's Stash, What's the Point?
I paid Cayde 4800 Glimmer for a treasure map.
Inside was a weird odds+ends random lore item.
I gave it back to Cayde and he paid me 100 Glimmer for it.

It gives you some lore on cayde-6 and the chests have a chance to drop an exotic, or a faction weapon.

You get quite a bit of glimmer from the caches, on top of a legendary weapon drop or two. Most importantly, the notes. It's really interesting to see why each of his notes have to say.

2 RepliesBasically. I seem to be one of the luckier ones and tend to get at least 1 legendary engram out of the 5 caches but for most they either get meh blues, an emblem or nothing at all. You really don't make your glimmer back with those stashes. I'm fairly certain their point was to give players something to hunt for every week and sprinkle in a bit of lore for our favorite Hunter Mentor.

This time around I scored the New Monarchy scout rifle and my charred celery. A great stash hunt imo! The Ace journal entries are kinda heartbreaking too.

You have a chance to get exotics out of them, I got one the other day.

It is a random drop, think of it like a lottery, I've gotten exotics from it before.

All of the chests are exotic chests so they have a good chance to give you exotics along with all the emblems and ascendant artichokes.

Edited by Mista Fidget: 10/7/2017 10:21:45 AMThey're broken at the moment. The game treats them the same as every other chest, reducing rewards if you open them quickly one after the other. With normal chests this is to prevent loot farming. Bungie have said they're working on fixing the Cayde chests. (When they do work they're supposed to have a high chance of dropping exotics)
