What I don't get is... WHY?
I've played Gears of War, Halo, Borderlands, Elder Scrolls Online, all kinds of online co-op and vs multiplayer games. They don't go down for hours every week and they don't have disconnect issues. So WHY does Destiny have these and why aren't they learning from other games?

I really couldn't care less. "People get the leaders they deserve" and all. If YOU guys cared, you would have changed your gun laws a long time ago, but no, all you care about is your precious Second Amendment, which was stated in 1719, a time where you actually DID have to HAVE a gun to protect your family from outlaws and wildlife.

Russia could have won the war just by sheer numbers but the war would have dragged on for so much longer and cost them even more lives. Look up the lend/lease to England, America kept England a float before they entered the war. It took you 2 days come up with a reply with this nonsense statement. Wow!

The history of ww2 is based in facts and the recording of what actually happened and not what “could” have happened. Fact one: USSR entered the war in June 1941, due to Germany invading them and making their way all the way to Moscow’s doorstep 30 mile outside of the capital. Fact two: the United States enters the war in December 1941. You stated above that the allies were well on their way to winning the war without the USA. So USSR was not attacking Germany in Europe when the USA entered the war. So your statement is untrue. At the time the USA entered the war England did not have a foothold in the mainland Europe, USSR was on the defensive against Germany. The war would rage on for 4 years after the USA became involved. How is that on their way to winning the war without the USA as you stated above? According to your link, it also stated that if the USA did not get involved the the war would rage on for years longer too. Read about the history of ww2 and not the theory of what could have happened, you will gain a better understanding.

Fact is, USA did only get involved after they themselves got hit. It wasn't an act to help us, it was an act to defend themselves. Americans like to make it sound like they came down from their heavenly heights to save the poor European peasants, but that's not what happened. Ok, maybe they weren't on the verge of winning, but they would have won regardless. In the end, even Hitler's closest allies were tired of him and trying to kill him. He would never have lasted the war. But that's besides the point. The point is, I'm asking for maintenance rotation :)

We sent supplies and arms to Europe to help from the beginning and to Russia too. Also, I read the theory article after you sent it, my hobby is learning history and one of my favorite areas is ww2. The we would have won statements you just said, there was not going to be a we, it would have been a Russian(31 million) victory in Europe had America (19.7 million) not brought its massive army to Europe. England (8 million) was forced out of the mainland Europe and France was defeated, how could England get back to the mainland without the American army? The invasion of mainland Europe by the allies was comprised of mainly which army? England was stymied by Rommel in Africa, only with Patton arriving in Africa along with England was Germany forced out of Africa. Those are all troop numbers for ya, Germany had (19.7 million) the are peak numbers for the totals. Now to your final comment, sorry about your luck, they are not going to do a maintenance rotation because that is when the team that does the maintenance decided to schedule their time at work.

I've been playing ESO since console launch, and still play to this day. There is weekly maintenance in ESO and has been since day 1.

Rotate it? Here let clue you in on something. The server maintenance team probably works a normal 9-5 shift, they have families and outside of work responsibilities. So you want them to work a completely different shift and not see their families when there is a maintenance scheduled so that little old you can play a video game? Wake up little guardian, there is a whole other world out there besides a video game screen. Also Bethesda is located in Sweden I think so their 9-5 maintenance worker is working while you are sleeping maybe. In all seriousness, it is a video game, and the real world is not, go and experience the real world. It may surprise you at what you can discover!

A lot of talk from someone who enjoys the real world more than a video game world. Some of us have very limited time every week to play a video game because we have responsibilities in the real world. So every week when we try to play and we can't, yes, it is frustrating. Bug off.

I worked in the video game industry for 8 years..there was nothing 9-5 about it. Most work days were 12 hours and we considered ourselves lucky to not have to come in on weekends. Not that it has anything to do with their maintenance.

In the "real world" the graphics suck, and most of the NPCs are AFK. All busy exchanging play time for in game currency.

Why don't you do the same? Get off the Bungie forums and go enjoy the real life yourself. Stop acting like an internet warrior behind a keyboard and screen. I completely agree with him that Bungie seem to do a whole lot of maintenance to the servers and it doesn't help the quality of the game. Still error codes, lag, PvP cheating, etc.
