Titan support?

I main a titan and have been since destiny 1 and I loved being a huge support class for raids. Now that we have sentinel which is awesome but I don't know how to support my team as much. What sub class should I put my efforts towards to support my tean my team.

Right there with ya bro! The Warlocks have the rifts, but nothing else at all that I have found. (PLEASE correct me if I am mistaken) The Sentinel's proximity health buffs work great in Public Events. But aside from that, only a well coordinated fireteam can get much out of them. I have run Defender since year 1, and am all about aiding my fireteam. Despite my love for being the Wall, I have found myself getting more support out of the Striker. The double flashbangs, extended effect duration, and ability to get them back quicker with the Seismic Slam allow a powerful Crowd Control approach to support, rather than shielding highly mobile teammates. The rally barricade too pairs EXTRAORDINARILY well with the Warlock's rifts. I'm hoping for a few strong support exotic gear pieces to aid us in our crusade of springboarding our buddies to awesomeness, but nothing yet.

    • Remember that support has a wider definition than just Weapons of Light. Sentinel is an aggressive tank. You can give your teammates a shield with melee kills and getting melee kills while force barrier is active heals both you and nearby teammates. The L2/LT while using Sentinel Shield also casts a mobile defensive barrier that block enemy fire but allows your teammates to shoot through it. It's basically Reinhardt. Also remember that Barricades save lives. I don't think the Striker has anything in the way of support and as for Sunbreaker I don't know anything about it yet. For all I know it might be the best support class in the game.

      • Ya got one of two options: Good ol' Sentinel's Path of the Protector which grants healing and over shields to you and teammates through melee kills as well as Ward of Dawn OR Sunbreaker's Path of the Fire-Forged which has a charge attack that debuffs enemies with weakened defenses, and a passive that grants you and other teammates with movement and reload speed boosts that stack up to 3 times via ability/super kills. Its pretty much your choice of "Do I want my team to live or to kill more?" Note: Theres more to them then what I have said but those are the main support aspects to them.

        • Sent is definitely the way to go. I forget the name but the top specialization has the old bubble shield if you max it out. Plus popping the shorter barrier allows your team instant reloads as long as it is up.(and if you're lucky with the damage it takes you can almost have another one ready in the next 5-10 seconds

          • Go for the bubble tree and try to get a crest of alpha lupi. In this game the crest heals you and nearby allies when you use your barricade.

            • How about.. using a bubble, rally barricade, crest. Put up a bubble and a rally barricade about a few feet in front. Have warlocks put down both types of rifts inside. Players can crouch down for auto reload, and if they take too much damage, can sit in the bubble for a second regen health. Have second Titan put another rally barricade when yours is almost up (about halfway on cooldown). You create orbs, give a safe place, and help everyone do even more DPS by eliminating reload times

            • It seems like striker and sunbreaker are still pure offense, yet Titans with their cover walls that reload weapons enhance dps, and the code of the protector for sentinel is by far the best Titan setup for PVE. Gives you and your allies a shield with the melee ability, and the health regen from a melee kill for your team on any melee kill (even with ability on cooldown) is so damn nice. Not to mention the beautiful ward of dawn, which is especially helpful for that shitty cabal drill public event, all on top of your ability to still use your shield to intercept and massively reduce damage, which while small, can still protect 1 or 2 allies in a Congo line. Code of the protector all the way, it's my absolute favorite and encourages an aggressive support playstyle, which is far too fun

            • I think Warlocks are more of a support class this expansion or sequel depending on how you look at it.
