I just want to know. If we don't have the answer I'll remove the OP. That is If we don't have the answer in the grimore Cards. I don't want to read them.

3 RepliesPerhaps the traveler was moving through the EDZ while fighting, took a big hit, but kept moving to it's final destination.
-
1 ReplyI'm pretty sure during the collapse the traveler got damaged (Both physically and light wise and that stuff) That's why it isn't a perfect orb. It has damage on it. And the better question is how is there a shard on the moon?
-
On it's side?

2 RepliesYou know that Pop-Tart corner burning in the bottom of your toaster? It happened like that
-
Probably blown of when Rasputin fired on the traveler
-
Someone commented about some Speaker quotes. These would indicate that the Shard of the Traveler already exists. Perhaps this happened during the Collapse, and was a result of the Traveler's last stand against the Darkness.

3 RepliesSPOILER WARNING This leaked cutscene from D2 should help to explain.

The Traveler dropped it on the way to the City and forgot to pick it back up.

1 ReplyBecause when the Jolly Green Giant whacked it with his 9 iron, he hit a slice, and that part ended up in Bordeaux (or wherever the EDZ is.)

56 RepliesEdited by WALDO: 8/8/2017 2:19:29 AMDidn't it try to leave earth which is why Rasputin basically killed it, it was in motion at the time, later the city was established under the traveler and the walls and tower built. The shard fell where the traveler was attacked, but it moved and settled over the cosmodrome and then "in its dying breath" created the ghosts. Edit: I'm involved in further discussion below, it might be a lot to read but, but pkease do. The idea that Rasputin acted or did not is the topic.

-
10 RepliesRasputin launched a giant sleeper sim shot because the traveler was fleeing the darkness and rasputin decided it was going to release a weapon(ghosts) to protect its self.

We have no idea at this point of time it will likely be answered in D2
