Hello everybody,
Each class is and fun to play and learn about, what really makes each class unique are the traits that are tied to them. From a lore perceptive I am sure that there are a few personality traits that are the deciding factors on why certain characters were reborn as a Titan, Hunter, or Warlock. Lets try naming a few for each class.
Titan: willful, virtuous, dedicated
Hunter: daring, practical, energetic
Warlock: studious, curious, intelligent
What do you guys think?

2 RepliesLet's look at the cut-scene at the start of Homecoming. Hunter (Cayde): reacts to the immediate threat to try to neutralise it quickly. When the Cabal first attack he is shooting not looking for cover or to protect the citizens and then later he goes off for a direct confrontation instead of protecting the city / helping evacuate. Warlock (Ikora): looks at the bigger picture but through dispassionate eyes. Sees the protection of knowledge / the Traveller a higher priority than people. Titan (Zavala): looks at the bigger picture, but his main priority is to protect the people and longer-term strategy. I think this sums up the three classes.

Warlock: "Aim for the jugular. The jugular! PUNCH HIM IN THE ******* THROAT! Titan: "Well why didn't you just say so?" Yes, I did pinch that from Red vs Blue, but it fits so perfectly.

1 ReplyEdited by autimsoid: 8/4/2017 5:24:40 AMWarlock: if we keep this spider tank in a stable enough condition, we can learn more about fallen architecture and potentially gain technological feats for the city from it Hunter: hehe... Those trip mines are gonna make snazzy fireworks outs that... Titan: IM GONNA -blam!-IN PUNCH IT (Yes this reply was inspired by Agent Smith's reply)

2 RepliesHunters are loners and rebellious, Titans are defensive and do not want to leave the city, And warlocks are weird. They can act like a hunter or titan, as seen with Ikora, or they can dedicate themselves to knowledge.

13 RepliesTitan. Punch it Hunter. Run away Warlock. I will live forever! ;)

Nono no no nono no

I've always thought titans and warlocks to be very close in regards to their thought process and what they stand for. Like titans are the jocks and warlocks are the nerds helping them study.

2 RepliesWarlock: "My isn't this fascinating? This Hive ritual has never been observed before!" Hunter: *Yawns* Titan: "Me want to punch uglies."

7 RepliesEdited by Carnime: 8/1/2017 7:03:49 PMWarlock: you shot him in the neck severing his jugular and he blead to death. Hunter: so what I shot him dead does it matter? Titan: GOOD JOB CAPE MAN! gun go BOOM and he move no more hahaha.

16 RepliesWhen confronted in a bar: Warlock: Watch your mouth, and remember what I am capable of. *Flashes a little fire in hand* Hunter: F**k off. Titan: *Ignores threats*
Its very commonly mistaken that Titans are brutes, who want to punch everything they see. In reality, according to lore, they are the most disciplined, orderly of the guardians. They would not engage or threaten unless necessary, and would attempt to not resort to violence. Titans are the ones who helped build the city, not the brutes many make them out to be. Also, this is coming from a Warlock main.
Please don't try turn guardians into 2 dimensional characters to validate your own head cannon, dear. Warlocks have whole orders more based conflict than study, you know why? Because they are people who all have seperate personalities and beliefs. Yes a few hunters may be seen as more relaxed guardians in comparison, but they are also fully capable to be walking the walls with a Titan, explaining how the natural formation of the ridges will funnel heavy units further south. And yes Warlocks by name would be quite studios, But IKora proved she was hot headed, and very confrontational at times. Still is, getting far too emotional during Homecoming.

1 ReplyEdited by Der_Peevmeister: 8/3/2017 12:32:20 AMWarlock: Book Smarts, Super regeneration is naturally increased. "While you were robbing liquor stores, I was studying for the SATs." Hunter: Street Smarts, Naturally nimble, a death-blow at critical health will miss you once. "While you were studying for the SATs, I was getting laid." Titan: Roid Rage, Defensive and melee offense capabilities are buffed massively, but cause reduced manliness and eventual death after prolonged use. "TYTAN SMASH¡"

2 RepliesAs a person who delved into table-top RPG's from White Wolf I can tell you that Guardians can be surprisingly complex: A Titan may be contemplative and delves into forgotten lore of the Golden Age in an effort to improve defenses for the people A Hunter that craves confrontation and battle, forgoing stealth to gain a better understanding of foes in the field A Warlock that moves unseen in the wild, believing that wisdom is gained from knowing the world instead of haunting libraries

2 RepliesTitans rely on strength, durability, and firepower. Hunters rely on quickness, stealth, and their wits. Warlocks rely on intellect, knowledge, and their greater understanding of the power Guardians rely on.

1 ReplyGuardians aren't reborn destined to be a certain class. That's just a gameplay convenience. In the lore your class is a decision you make later as your personality dictates how you view the Light and ultimately how you choose to manipulate it.

1 ReplyI think having some personality traits would be nice to have at the character creation screen. Maybe just to change some simple, unimportant mechanics. Maybe the way you wave or sit or something.
