Energy weapons have a damage bonus when against shielded enemies (even better for ones they match elementally). This gives them a defined purpose in the game, and people view them as superior as a result because Kinetic weapons don't have anything special about them. I suggest we give Kinetic weapons the same damage bonus, but for unshielded enemies instead. It gives Kinetic weapons more of a defined purpose, and also serves to ensure they aren't viewed as inferior by the playerbase. This means people will think more carefully about which weapon to use in their current situation.
