"Ultimate" meaning the actual full game, including the pieces they cut out to re-sell as "DLC's" for $20-$40 each. It's been proven already that they intentionally locked away finished parts of D1, only to falsely advertise them as "expansions" later. Don't be surprised when they do it again.

I'm waiting for a pre-owned ultimate addition D2 on clearance. Nothing moving from all our silver. Bad move.

1 ReplyEdited by Sage: 6/20/2017 10:48:51 PMThat's the one I'm getting. At least I can see how the game develops up to that point. I got Destiny 1 when xbox was on sale for Black Friday. I got Destiny and AC Unity for free. The D1 came with TTK- HOW- Dark Below - I'll just wait for that again with D2/// and this all costed me 300$ for a 1 Terabyte XBONE with 2 games and 1 year of live.

1 Replythe best part about it is that it will all be 60 bucks and with the spring 2018 dlc for free cause -blam!- the fan base.
-
8 RepliesYou pretty much defined all DLC tho. Bungie isn't the only one to have done this.
-
I don't mind paying for dlc. If you wait till the complete edition comes out that just means your waiting to play a great game. I'd rather spend more and play it now than pay a little less but wait several months to play all the content.
-
5 RepliesDevelopers often plan for expansions in advance, even before the release of the base game. They do this to keep their game fresh and relevant. This isn't anything new, did you just wake up from a 20 year coma?
-
2019 is the Destiny 2 Collection. All the "Expansions" plus an Age of Triumph like event where you play the game like crazy and get a lame t-shirt offer at the end of it. Although for Destiny 2 I think they should switch it up. Like a Destiny 2 keychain (not for free, just at a 2% discount or something)

From what I read about bungos start and restart and reboot of d1 they did not cut content they just never delivered it It was not like it was there and removed they were so far behind the release they released "anything" Don't forget there are bonuses associated with releases and penalties as well
-
I'm expecting it, if Destiny 2 is great that's awesome but if it is lacking content I'm not surprised.

1 ReplyEdited by chickengoujohn93: 6/20/2017 10:18:01 PMDon't most games do this? Don't want to sound like a Bungie apologist but they seem to get more hate than anyone else for a practice that is industry wide. Destiny, like alot of MMOs, is all about the here and now. Based on previous trends, if you want to skip the first year of Destiny 2 don't be upset when the ship has sailed in the event of wanting to play the 2/3 Raids that will be released between now and then. You will most likely have to wait until "Age of Triumph 2" to get the full Destiny 2 experience. Imagine a new player who joined in September 2016 trying to do pseudo-relevant activities such as Challenge of Elders/Kings Fall or trying to get Touch of Malice, Black Spindle, NTTE, Year One Raid/PoE Shaders, Ships and Sparrows and to a certain extent... Chaperone, Sleeper Simulant and an Exotic Sword thanks to the dodgy matchmaking and lack of players doing said activities to be even matched with...

I'm not expecting much more than the offering ttk had pve contentwise. With rise of iron and limited info I see no reason to expect better

I think bungie will remake d1 and d2 with 60fps complete edition in 2018 for new user
-
Let's assume you are right. You are now forewarned. Buy or don't buy. Your call.
-
The new main zone of D2 was actually fairly complete for D1.
-
You are spot on. It makes perfect sense with the contract they signed.
-
9 RepliesCan you prove to me that both DLC's will be finished by launch date? If not, pipe down.
-
20 RepliesMost of the content for the DLCs are unfinished at launch. Additionally its Bungies intelectual property to release as they see fit. If a musician makes 30 songs and only sells 15 of the because they are completely finished it doesn't mean that they "cut" the other 15 from the album. It just means the state of the remaining content that was created wasn't ready for release.

The way I see it destiny saves me money. I spent a total of 170 bucks on vanilla destiny and all expansions. I played the game almost exclusively for 2 and a half years. The only other games I've paid for were mass effecr and the witcher 3. Had destiny not eaten up my tine I would of easily spent 200 to 300 more on cod and battle field, battle front etc. When I can get my fix right here for less. That's just one man's take on it

Edited by UFSman: 6/24/2017 6:04:00 PMIf it does come it will be in September 2018 but you might miss out on events and limited time events by waiting until when plus you will be behind all the people who brought it a year ago so you will have some catching up to do and good luck getting in a raid you will have lots who say your light level is too low, don't you have the raid exotic from the last raid etc. Oh you don't on your bike whenwe want someone who knows what their doing not some newbie.

2 RepliesRabble, rabble, rabble! I am opposed to industry standard practices! I shouldn't have to pay more than $60 for a video game regardless of it's production costs! Rabble, rabble, rabble! - TheRealBillyMays
