As you may have figured out there are many dead ghosts around the many planets and to get grimoire you have to revive them. Does anybody have speculation or thoughts on what happens to these ghosts? Maybe later in D2 a cutscene or story of a random guardian who's guardian the ghost belonged to or how it died. Just thought it would be interesting to hear the thoughts on these ghosts and what you think might happen to them now that they are revived and how important they are to guardians.

Lets take a moment to remember all thr brave ghosts that have lost their light Rip litte guys. Rip

Their memories are retrieved and stored, but the Ghost itself is converted to Light and recycled back into the Traveler.

After that I don't really know what happens to them after that. I do k ow that they aren't revived they just remain dead. Maybe when the traveler wakes up they will too.

They go to HEAVEN

Edited by TrolleyProblem: 12/28/2016 7:35:01 AMAny note-worthy documents or transcriptions in the dead ghost is transferred from their systems to yours. After everything useful has been gleaned; all its systems, its chassis, everything begins to no longer exist. This is because its reason to exist is no more. In its dying breath, the traveller, great machine, alpha lupi, whatever you want to call it, fabricated the ghosts. Metaphysical beacons of light energy with one purpose: find those who can wield light energy, and reanimate them. But once the guardian dies their final death, and the ghost hasn't enough energy to bring them back; it is over. The light that comprises their being is returned to the traveller, and perhaps even us. And with the dead reclaimed, we march on to finish what they couldn't

probably go back up the travellers ass
-
Well we do need them to be revived. If they get destroyed it still be alive but if you die again then you just simply die.
-
They have to start looking for their dead guardian all over again That'll be another few hundred years roaming the solar system
-
They get 3D printed then sent out for free on people's YouTube channels, if you subscribe.
-
They fly away into the sun because they have no purpose in life and probably commit suicide since their guardian is dead and they have no purpose
-
I use them as hood ornaments on my sparrows.
-
Knowledge is sucked out of them and then their cases are sold in the bungie store as things such as coffee mugs.
-
Maybe they'll revive the traveller

When it says revive dead ghost, what you're really doing is giving them just enough Light to temporarily awaken them to retrieve their memories. A dead Ghost is dead.

5 RepliesEdited by Stormhawk118: 12/28/2016 9:37:44 AMPretty sure our ghost extracts as much relevant data as it can from the poor thing, then it simply evaporates into motes of light, truly dead

4 RepliesThey are recycled in Aksis raid and Iron Banner.

3 RepliesEdited by lonesoldier27: 12/27/2016 4:19:38 AMUpon revival it uploads any and all relevent uncorrupted data to your ghost, it then transmats itself back to your ship and waits to be back in the travelers vicinity after it transmats itself back to the traveler it is reconditioned, recharged, and reprogramed and sent back out to seek a new gaurdian (assumption made by the transmat animation upon its rivival and grimore card unlock) Then there are the ghosts so damaged that it can't be revied, after any relevant data is pulled from it by your ghost, these are normaly carried back to the speaker where he "honors" them, whatever that means

5 RepliesThey aren't revive we just take their memories and store them in the tower index. They are dead.
-
1 ReplyIt tells us what it remembers, then flies off. That's why we get ghost fragments from them. Where it goes, we don't know.
-
3 RepliesThey go into the NF loot table...
