Fix The F***ing Darkdrinker Quest
I swear Bungie you have to fix the f***ing darkdrinker quest, I sat down and grinded my a** off for about an hour and 40 min to get those stupid relic crystals. And I've goten 82 relic iron and if I divide that by the number of relic crystals which is lower than my self esteem while doing this dumb*** quest I get 41 so I average 1 crystal every 41 relic iron which is bull**** and if I divide 100 min (hour and 40 min) by 2 relic crystals I come up with a relic crystal about every 50 min also bull****. So if you could fix this before I end up in an insane asylum I would greatly appreciate it! And I know it's 2016 now and taken king has been out for a year and there is better stuff than darkdrinker but it's still an amazing sword so if you could fix the f***ing drop rate I might actually consider buying destiny 2.

I spent hours for all 3. Stop complaining and go pick up a ghost for relic iron.

1 ReplyMost of us did the swords quest during TTK and spend hours. If you want it grind for it like the rest of us. Tip Equip a ghost that can detect what material you want and zoom across the area with a sniper. It'll make gathering material quicker and easier.

I think your farming methods might be wrong. 50 minutes per crystal means you find the relic icons not fast enough.

I particularly hated the 500 ability kills. The materials seemed like they got progressively easier as you went along. Seemed to me it took about 50 to get one shard, then 40, then 30, then 20... you get the idea. I spent the time to get three swords, the Dark Drinker was the most recent (about a month ago) and I remembered how much I hated the process. I mean, there are some things that you do later in life where you find yourself saying "well, that wasn't as difficult as I remember." Well, this isn't one of those things. The difficulty isn't in completing the task so much as it is maintaining interest.

5 RepliesIt's the same with all of them and dark drinker has the highest dps of any heavy weapon so it's not a weak weapon by any means. It's supposed to be a harder weapon to get.

Just get a ghost that has the appropriate material thingy and a sniper rifle. When u zoom in and look around the ghost highlights every material in the area....even if is far out.

Either use a ghost that tells you where the relic iron is or use the memory of gheleon

Hahahahah sucks to be u I have all raze lighter dark drinker and bolt caster and it took me only 2 hours to find all materials and top for get a ghost shell that synced relic iron so quite complaining and delete this post thanks have a great day

I spent 2-3 days on Raze-Lighter. Over the course of 3 weeks because I was lazy and didn't want to do it. Just be patient and kill stuff. If you need to kill time, do patrols.

I hope you know you can't get them from chests. Only actual relic iron. It took me at least 4 hrs to do that. 7hrs for razelighter. Just have a ghost that has the relic iron sensor perk.

It's ordinarily 1 every 10 to 15. You've just got some bad RNG, nothing Bungie can do to fix the occasional person getting extremely unlucky.

1 ReplyFind a nice zone on mars with about 2-3 nodes close by, loot them, leave the area and rezone. The nodes should remain there as long as you're the only person in that zone and you don't waste time zoning. I ended up with about 500+ relic iron before I finished collecting all mine.
