Im here today to show all of you the huge scale of the ships in destiny.
how big is a ketch: https://youtu.be/xSL7ZdywNx8
To mesure the fallen ketch I use the cosmodrome wall to get an approximation on the size, but I am pretty confident about the estimation. constructive criticism on the method is welcome.
Side note: Kerbal Space Program is my second love.
It was accepted in the Bungie creator page, Take a look: https://www.bungie.net/en/Community/Detail?itemId=217325646

3 RepliesHow big is the Dreadnought?

2 RepliesFrom what we have seen there about 7 ketches not including the rift ketch since that was destroyed but if 7 ships can hold every member of the elikskni species then it's fair to say they're big.
-
bigger than your mom
sorry had to do it
42 RepliesEdited by Colloquial_Bloke: 11/5/2016 7:57:15 AMHow big is a ketch? Well.... Ketch is derived from ketchup. Heinz is a popular brand of ketchup, and it has a "57" on the bottle. The ketch was built at some point, so we'll add a "." to the equation. That brings us to .57 .57 what? Well. We've killed a lot of fallen. Kill --> kilo. A ketch is a ship, Amanda Holliday builds ships, and I'd really like to meter. So, when we put all of that together, a Ketch is .57 Kilometers long.

23 RepliesThe Dreadnaught is the biggest ship but the smallest patrol. Funny.

Edited by ScotchEggsRules: 11/6/2016 10:06:25 PMNice! #pimpdatketch

Edited by Leon1des: 11/6/2016 7:48:29 PMScale is wrong. When we are on top of hive tomb ship we are relative big. We must then be giants if the tomb ship was 160 ft long.

1 ReplyOld picture comparing sci-fi ships through the different universes.
-
The ship is so large but has no winebar. Such waste.

15 RepliesEdited by Seraphim Crypto: 11/5/2016 4:10:40 PMIf anybody wants to know the sizes of things in Halo in comparison to those sizes in Destiny, shown in OP's informative video. And here's a link to a wikia article: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Real_Sizes_in_the_Halo_Universe

5 Replies"Moderator Replied"... Why wont they replie topics with serious content like ddos or lag?

It's the size of Eddie Izzard riding on a fabulous rhinestone covered pony.
-
Would prefer to explore a ketch more than the dreadnugget
-
2 RepliesI'd say it's about as big as...
The loooove booooat!
-
Do a comparison with the dreadnaught
-
1 ReplyAnd then we have the Dreadnought. Of which the ship makes the Ketch/Carrier look like peasants.

You don't know how much people like your videos when it's straight to the point, interesting, and no babbling. You threw in to like the video discreetly and moved right into the content. Big UP to you! The video also happens to be great! Keep it up, you got my like!

4 RepliesNo ship in Destiny can compare in size to my "ship" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Embrace your inner 13 year old
2 RepliesI noticed you didn't put the Dreadnought in your comparison. Saturn's rings are about 175,000 miles wide, and approximately 1 km thick. The Dreadnought takes up a huge area of Saturn's rings. It looks like it's probably as big as a rocky planet or moon.

Cool stuff man!
-
What about the dreadnought
-
Was gonna say. What about dreadnaught. But I see 1000 other people already beat me to it. So.... anyways was a pretty awesome video! Keep em comin!
-
No way that's right a fallen ketch takes up the entire sky when it flies by not a measly 1500 feet
-
Well I'll be damned....
