This problem was happening to me a while back then stopped but has just started again. Its really not fun when in pvp and you find a shotgun rusher coming at you, switch to your shotgun (which you haven't used so far in the match, or changed special weapon etc.) pull the trigger and nothing happens and then you die. You then look to see that you spawned into the match with no special ammo. This is now happening to me match after match now when clearly others have special ammo. I've even gone so far as to make sure I have special ammo when the match ends (incase that has something to do with it) but this changes nothing in the next match. I looked for other posts about this and found ones like this one over a year ago so this can't be new:

What is going on with this? Is this a known bug or is this maybe a special hex Bungie has put on me for speaking up about how solo players get screwed over in Destiny? I'd love to know what is causing this as it puts you at a huge disadvantage to start with no special ammo, especially in this current pvp culture of hordes of shotgun rushers and fusion rifle spammers.

Having this same problem. Not playing inferno and I'll start with ammo but when I die I'll spawn with no ammo and if I find ammo I'll have it until I die and it'll take it away again. I've tried multiple game types trying to fix it and nothing's working. Hard reset the PlayStation and everything. Still no fix

If you're playing a regular crucible playlist then you must have switched specials too late before entering the game causing you to lose your ammo.

It's called inferno. No radar, no special ammo at start.

1 ReplyEdited by Karl Marx: 10/15/2016 11:13:37 AMHi there, Is it possible that you were playing the Weekly Crucible Playlist? This playlist is called Inferno Supremacy, where radar and spawn special ammo are removed. Otherwise you may have switched Specials too late, when the game thinks you've already spawned.
