Two of my more recent games if anyone could please offer their feed back (please be honest. No sugar coating necessary) I'd really appreciate it.

Yep, I think this was my 3rd or 4th attempt at playing this playlist? Absolutely and complete garbage.
I couldn't do jack. 5 Kills 16 deaths. I was literally the fodder, feeding kills to the leader. Not exactly encouraging.
Top player, 5.25 KD, completely destroyed the rest of us. Looks like I've been thoroughly spoiled by playing 6v6, where I could at least count on friendly players to provide a distraction at least.
I know this game mode is supposed to teach me how to pick my lanes better, but my god, when some of the best players said this is a brutally honest play list, they weren't kidding.
I'm not even going to blame my load out, which was Mida and a Shotgun (Considered by some or most to be "crutch" or "tryhard" setups). This was downright depressing.
Not sure how some people do it. I think it was Truevanguard who suggested picking an area and locking it down, make it your stomping ground, instead of going around hunting. You're just asking to get double teamed at that point. Will have to remember that, since I found myself constantly getting gunned down in the open and just getting crapped on by everyone in the lobby.
I WILL get better at this darn play list, but god it's going to be a LONG and PAINFUL trek I feel. Guess I better get used to taking it deep and dry, because this isn't going to be a fun walk through the woods.

Sort of getting better I suppose, heh.

4 RepliesFor whatever reason, I do so much better in Rumble than in any other 6v6 or 3v3 playlist
-
As long as you have a good idea of the map and where people will push from. Rumble is pretty easy. I find using a hand cannon and a sniper works well in rumble. Closing off sight lines and using the hand cannon to clean up kills.
-
2 RepliesRumble has been weird for me. I do decent in sixes unless I'm getting team-shot the whole game by a party of four or more, I am terrible at threes but I do decent in Rumble. I've never played it much but the last couple of weeks I've won a few and am consistently top three. It's definitely helped me improve in other playlists. I still can't believe how bad I am at threes though, lol.

You are trying to get into too many 1v1s. Feed off of people who just finished a battle. Using evades are key because people who hunt down like you should be will try to get into a gunfight with you, and you can evade away wth shade step or blink and get them in a gunfight and you may come out on top or kill both of them.
-
1 ReplyLmao rumble is the easiest game mode
-
1 ReplyI'll check it out when I'm home. Bump for later.

Edited by Marshxy: 4/27/2016 10:06:56 AMI played one game of inferno rumble the other day and I had no idea how much I relied on my radar, it was horrible. I refused to be sucked into the camping game that is inferno and thus, got my ass handed to me.
-
1 ReplyI prefer inferno rumble, no trackers, there you know the diference between the ones camping waiting for the radar to indicate nearby enemies and the ones who go out for the hunt
-
1 ReplyI played the weekly, which was Mayhem Rumble. I almost won. I lost by 1 kill. That was my first ever Rumble Match
-
1 ReplyLol, I'm #1 for ELO on DestinyTracker and was in top 20's ELO on guardian.gg before patch. I'm alright I guess...
-
2 RepliesIts alright dude, its a difficult playlist that requires so much individual gun skill and incredible map awareness. You will get better don't worry.
-
I can do okay in Rumble sometimes, but Inferno Rumble made me look like someone handed their three year old their controller just for kicks. Mayhem Rumble I might do better in, but Rumble and Skirmish are easily my worst game modes.
-
Rumble pit of FFA is generally the best playlist to get your skill up in a video game. If you can handle 5 other people trying to kill you then a team mode wont be that difficult at all.
-
4 RepliesMatchmaking is broken, so you ended up playing against a top player...not your fault.
-
in rumble I go either extremely positive or extremely negative
-
I think my stats are better in rumble than in 6v6 playlists overall tbh
-
1 ReplyI'm much much much (this could go on a while) worse than you. I have had games with zero kills. I enter panic/headless chicken mode and off I go, wilding blasting away at err, nothing and sniping, err, nobody. I melee walls, throw grenades at empty spaces and run around aimlessly with my super either forgetting its ready or watching it waste away. I suck at Rumble ........ and Clash.... and Skirmish... Well, everything really, although I have been known to accidentally control a zone! So you could be me...
-
Not me all i play is rumble and trials
-
2 RepliesI haven't played a game of rumble where the winner wasn't using the last word or doctrine. + a warlock

Hi! Your experience is part of the learning process everyone went thru, including me. I'm usually the kill feeder to my enemies but now on maps that I'm good at, I have no problem finishing in top 3. Staying at the same point too long is not a good idea as the ones killed by you will comeback and hunt you down. When that match you see the medal 'Alone at the Top' you know you have progressed well. I earned my first medal in December 2015 and I've posted a vid on YT for that sweet memory. Load out was Hung Jury, Invective, Bretomart's Stand. https://youtu.be/whsnjCLaBdU And another load out with Haakon's Hatchet, Plan C, and Void sword. https://youtu.be/KCNrb0EyRFs Good luck!

1 ReplyI've always had a love/hate relationship with rumble, it's great for getting some bounties done, especially if it's a solid run. If your getting shrek'd though holy cow it's saddening. If you want to survive, double shotgun spree. That or, especially now, main shotgun with sidearm and it'll save your ass.

2 RepliesCongratulations and welcome to the club. Rumble= 'reality check'. If I need an ego whack I'll go do Rumble. :(
-
1 ReplyJudging by your honesty and desire to get better, you probably will get better. Rumble can be rough against great players. ID suggest practicing loads of skirmish as well where you can consistently count on 1v2 and 1v3 situations to occurr. Managing risk/reward is a big part of it. Knowing which of 2 approaching targets to engage first is important as well as knowing when to disengage and reset. Thanks for your post GL
-
1 ReplyStep one is to admit you are bad, step two get better weapons, step three use best load out and skill tree, step four practice, step five practice with better players, step six get gud and get talked shit to because you are finally good and people think you cheat.
-
My rumble k/d is my highest lol but I've only topped it once about a year ago when pocket infinity was a thing. I went into inferno rumble last week and I got torn apart by trial hards.
-
Just earned my 100th rumble win for the grimoire this weekend. Rumble is my favorite game mode. I wish I had more free time to play it. AMA
