Those faction exotics are sick. Too bad it's almost impossible....
To get them. Seriously rank 25. Never seen anyone wearing them.
Trending. Thanks for all the comments. Please keep them coming. One day I'll get mine and have the sweet re-animation the rest of you guys seem to already be enjoying. They should add something for the faithful Vanguard supporters.
Edit: so bungie? How many signatures do we need to make this happen? I can think of 1300 or so that may agree we could use vanguard and crucible exotic class items as well.

Got 3 of them for each class for each faction cause I'm not an idiot and didn't level every faction on one character.

Edited by Pyloxious: 12/30/2015 8:46:14 AMOnce glimmer is max, buy weapon parts and convert them to Rep. Rinse and repeat. Motes of Light (MoL) too. MoL have not much use other than leveling up gear. So everytime you fill up your XP bar at the bottom of the screen, you'll get 5 MoL. Hope this helps.

each one of mine were far above 25 on day one of TTK think of it as a reward to year one players who kept an ugly faction item on all the time

1 ReplyI wish there were Vanguard or Crucible exotic class items. It's a bit less relevant now that activities give you BOTH Faction + VG/Crucible reputation, but before in Year 1 it didn't. I personally CHOSE the Vanguard to be my faction of choice. Like what they stood for and the game-activities they were tied to. From a story perspective, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, and FWC had pretty different interests in what you should do as a guardian so I decided to not follow those paths with my main character. It would be cool to be able to "select" the Vanguard or Crucible as factions, and then get slightly better benefits (ie. slightly more rep than if doing an addional faction as well, or a few more marks from their respective activities. (ie. VG a few more marks in strikes or dailys, and Crucible would be a few more marks in crucible-type bounties (IB/ToO). Maybe in the 2nd Iteration of Destiny there will be more side choosing.

Had the dead orbit cloak for a long time now.....don't wear it tho. If the rep increase was even noticeable I might level it.

Dump motes of light and Heavy synths into it. Though, now you could also Patrol for it. Each faction accepts one kind of regular material now, so you could choose to go patrol and do both the roaming missions as well as harvest Materials for the faction.

I have 1 of then and have the quest for another, but they are useless and after grinding forever to get the quest, you have to grind forever to level them up. Not worth it.

I have the DeadOrbit one but here's the kicker, if you aren't allied with that faction while wearing it, it's light doesn't apply to you. So you change allegiances for the FWC quest for NoTimeToExplain and you drop 20 or more light you'll know why

My Warlock has the DO and it's on the quest for FWC. Hunter has DA and is rank 12 NM. Titan just hit rank 24 DO. Honestly it's not hard to do. The combination of the amount of motes of light you get and just doing all bounties everyday gets you there in a month or so if you focus on one character.

My titan has FWC, NM, working on DO. Warlock has NM working on FWC. Hunter has DO. It's not very hard only downside is you can't wear them while pledged with another faction

BAM. My warlock. My New Monarchy is above 50 at this point. But I agree that there should be an exotic class item for Vanguard....and Crucible as well.

I have 700 motes on my hunter. Figured extra motes would be useful for getting to lvl 25. Takes 130 motes per lvl rank though....

I used to run pure vanguard but with the rep changes in Y2 I joined up. While not as easy to rank up as it used to be, it's completely doable. It's been mentioned but...heavy ammo synths, heavy ammo synths, and more heavy ammo synths. 100/level.
