I don't know how many of you around here still know me, but I've been here a while and i just wanted to share this.
The doctor just confirmed yesterday what my wife and I have suspected since last Thursday... She's pregnant and I'm going to be a dad! We're both very excited because this is something we've been looking forward to for some time.
Let's make a discussion of this, though. How many of you out there are parents? Do you have any stories or advice to share about your first child?

Suddenly, manhood isn't an issue anymore. =) [Edited on 02.14.2010 5:04 PM PST]
Posted by: Darth1Snyder 1. Always go to bed early, and never EVER gripe to her about having to feed or change the baby at 3:00 AM. 2. Be more vigilant about what needs to be done around the house/apartment and get to it before she asks you to. 3. Take lots of pictures and keep them backed up. 4. Read This Book. 5. You probably already have This Book. 6. Find a brand of diapers and stick to it. Changing diaper brands can lead to lobster-red rashes. 7. You can never have too much Vaseline, butt paste, and neosporin for diaper rashes. 8. Be prepared to sacrifice video game time. That's all I got for now. Congrats on the kid.
Good advice... Thanks again everyone!
Posted by: Dr TimothyLeary
Posted by: UniversaISoldier I care?
HAHA! It took you 14 pages to come up with... THAT? You wordsmith, you. Anyway. Glad everything is still on track, Bear. Those 4d ultrasounds are awesome, no?
Stunning! It was even better than I expected! Well worth the price tag. I got to see my baby girl yawn, stick out her tongue, suck on her thumb, and even suck on her toes (at least they're clean)... All 10 weeks before she's born. The marvels of modern technology!
