I don't know how many of you around here still know me, but I've been here a while and i just wanted to share this.
The doctor just confirmed yesterday what my wife and I have suspected since last Thursday... She's pregnant and I'm going to be a dad! We're both very excited because this is something we've been looking forward to for some time.
Let's make a discussion of this, though. How many of you out there are parents? Do you have any stories or advice to share about your first child?

Ask the flood for advice on the babie? Great idea!
-
Congrats man, I hope it is all that you want and more.
-
Bear, you better protect that baby well. Because I iz hungry, and I love the taste of babies. I bet you have better things to do, so I'll make this short. I eat babies. And if you don't protect your cub, I'll eat it, too.

Sweet man. Just remember, their are three ways to raise a child, permissive, authoritative, and authoritarian. Studies have shown authoritative parenting works best.
-
Teach them wisely Mr. Bear. (wtf)
-
Somehow I remember someone similar to you saying this the very first day I joined, congrats BTW

Gratz man

Yay! Your life is over!

Congrats BBB. Name it after me?

Congrats!

Very cool man!

Congrats! My wife and I are looking to have a baby within the next year. I've always wanted a kid but now that we are at that point in our lives where we are ready to have one, it kinda seems scary. A lot of responsibility comes with having children. S3N

Congrats! That's awesome, and like Cat5 said don't let the baby turn up like him... Or anyone on here for that matter >.> <.< [Edited on 07.23.2009 8:53 AM PDT]

Congrats on the news! Treat him well! I doubt you would get much of a conversation on here though, most users are middle school-high schoolers here.

I'm sixteen, and father no child. I hope.. >_>"

I'm a father. I have two, two year old identical twin girls, who in all honesty aren't as bad as I expected. Really, just teach them the right things to do and the rest comes natural. To me so far the first few months(6 months or so) we're the roughest. Once they start sleeping it doesn't seem to be much of an issue. Congratulations and I hope it's a healthy one. ~Mendez~
