so far I find it to be the best weapon in TTK...already infused up to 304 because its a beast in pve and its a beast in pvp

It's on the same par. BJ is my go-to Crucible gun, tho: I'll have to put in some time with NTTE before I come to a conclusion. On the PvE side, the perk is nice for bosses, though. You can just spam head shots for days without ever having to reload. It also does work on general adds/mobs if you're really accurate.
