I really hope that Bungie makes an Exotic Arc Rocket Launcher named Mjolnir. I'm imagining its exotic perk being the ability to fire 3 rockets with one shot (using only one rocket ammo) and each rocket deals 2/3 damage. It would also have an AoE DoT or an AoE damage ability as well, think Dragon's Breath or Fist of Panic. Quite possibly could have a Chain Lightning ability instead of an AoE or DoT(for example, an arc of lightning bolts out hitting all enemies within X distance from each other).
When equipped and you have the triple shot perk, electricity occasionally arcs through the gun.
It will NOT have proximity or tracking, so you have to aim your shot well in order to have all three rockets explode where you want them to.
So guardians, would you use this weapon?
Edit: some people aren't digging the Wolfpack rounds, however, an alternative could be an AoE DoT, or something similar. So I'm going to change the Wolfpack rounds to this.

6 RepliesName: Mjolnir Type: rocket launcher Text: in the eyes of the beholder, i struck the earth... Element: arc Unique perk: Among us: This weapons rounds seek out targets at high speeds. Upon impact, this weapon releases arcing chain lightning that reflect off nearby enemies and back into the original target, doubling dmg output. Secondary perk(default, unlocks alongside unique perk): when all are dead: if no enemies are present, a lightning bolt will strike the target directly, tripling dmg output. Hows that for a decent exotic launcher?

2 RepliesI would love the three rockets at once - perk, but the magazine size would have to be 1. But whatever, Bungie is not nerfing Ghorn, so why would they nerf a weapon like this?

I wanted Dragons breath to have a magazine that included your reserve ammo, fired at 5x the RoF (think full auto gheleon demise), has full auto, and has at max a 2/3 blast radius with Max velocity. The solar grenade perk can kick rocks, and be replaced with a perk that gives it the full auto, all ammo in mag, and bonus velocity on top of max. It would be like shoulder firing a real A-10. Useless for PvP, wrecks in PvE.

they should make it exactly like the halo rocket launcher

I want this^

Sounds like ghorn had a run for its money

Awesome

1 ReplyHow about manual tracking, like the rocket launcher from Half Life 2?

Stats Low charge and reload but high stability an impact with void element. Perks: nothingness dispenser: clip is unloaded as one single charge doing increase damage with each amount of ammo in the magazine. Return fire: magazine is partly replenished if charge misses target. Thought of this just for you. You like? This is meant for yami no senshi.

5 RepliesLol, why do people want to outdo Gjallahorn. Bungie has already hit the power ceiling with it, they are never going to release a weapon as powerful as it again.
-
Me and my fireteam were actually talking about arc launchers. Realistically to be a good exotic it needs tracking. Look at truths aggressive tracking, amd gjallahorns tracking and wolfpack. I like the idea but I think a cooler idea would be a rocket that breaks into clusters after being fired and tracks targets. Be it the one target or if it's numerous targets somethings getting hit.

That sounds immense dude

4 RepliesWe need an Arc Fusion/Rocket launcher.

Edited by Pwinfry: 6/1/2015 6:52:13 AMI would do a 360 every shot so the rockets spread out
-
Edited by VyersReaver: 6/1/2015 6:46:47 AMOk, 5 rockets that deal double damage each (for 1 ammo), Tripod, namesake perk that creates Eye of Thunder at the place of impact (all 5, to be exact). Choice of three: each shell deals quadruple damage instead of double, you are not damaged by explosions of this RL, each shell has individual tracking. To be even more absurd, you can wear it in your primary slot. AND it's a legendary.
-
Without either tracking or proximity nobody would ever use it. Sounds neat though, I could use a good arc launcher.
-
1 ReplyAgree with everything except tracking. Let's be honest with no tracking no one will use it. Love the Lightning concept. Put tracking on it and it would be a bad mother.
-
5 RepliesBecause you don't have a Ghjallarhorn I'm assuming

Edited by Draw, O Coward!: 6/1/2015 6:20:26 AMHalo 2 super tracking and give it a thunder explosion with a very large radius. Pvp and arc for pve. The proximity would work like an arcbolt grenade.

12 RepliesNo wolf pack rounds. Don't want a Gally clone. But the three rockets at once is spot on genius. Make all the rockets do equal damage but make reload time extremely low and let it hold 6 rockets in reserve. No tracking, no prox. Blast radius is huge but velocity sucksss
-
I'd be happy if there were an exotic launcher that was basically a scorch cannon.
-
Any good rocket launcher MUST have Tracking OR proximity detonation. There are NO exceptions to this rule.

1 ReplyIt really bugs me that all of the exotic special and heavy weapons don't have a version with the 3rd element dmg they're missing, no exotic sniper with void, same for shotgun, fusion rifle and heavy machine gun and no arc exotic rocket launcher T_T
