Exotics in the Crucible Yes or No?
I'm sure we have all encountered it. There just happens to be a lvl32 with the fully upgraded Thorn. In the end you have been killed by him 28 times out the 50 kills he got with the Thorn. I have the Last Word, and its a great gun! Its not that op in the Crucible; but some other exotics are. Examples: Thorn, Red Death (currently), Vex Mythoclast, Invective, and so on. Do you think exotics should banned or just nerfed in the Crucible? I think nerfed.

The last word is thte most op gun in the game. The reason it's not used much is the skill it requires is much higher than thorn. As far as ttk last word will take out most heavy machine guns if you're accurate. I don't feel any gun needs a nerf right now. Scout rifles still need a buff, and auto rifles need brought back up aswell. As of now, it's handcannon or pulse rifle only.

Maybe not get rid of them entirely but perhaps game mode that limits you to legendaries and strips the radar from your HUD.

No. The PVP element needs to be separated from the PVE side. Crucible crybabies can choose from a predetermined list of weaponry, that is balanced, outside the Destiny game universe.

No - the other guns should be bought inline with the others. BUFF the crap guns. For example. Hard light? Necro ect ect

I think yes mostly as crucible is the reason my auto rifles and vex are tampon launchers.

I dont think anything needs to happen with them. A vanila crusible mode were you have to use common gear would be awesome though.

9 RepliesI don't think the thorn is op. I've been playing a lot of crucible recently and I've noticed it takes 3 shots and the burn will kill you. 2 head shots and it's possible to die. Now you may think to yourself "if this burn wasn't so ridiculous I would of survived that gun fight" but what I've come to realize is that if you died from the burn you would of been flat out killed if it was another handgun. If I remember correctly, my thorn hits 87's in PvP with 7 burn counter. My hawkmoon hits 90's in PvP and 120 if I get the bonus damage bullet. I don't know how much my last word hits because I just rapid fire from the hip with it. I barely use that one. When I play PvP and kill my opponent but die to his thorn's burn I tell myself I would of died before I killed him if he was using a different handcannon. I get almost all of my kills from a legendary shotgun called judgment 6. I typically come in first and rarely get in position 4+. I think the exotics have a big bark but can be out matched.

No. They're exotic for a reason. Maybe a specific gametype where exotics can't be used...

They are exotic. They are supposed to feel more powerful than legendary weapons. Figure out the counter. All guns have one. Stop asking for nerfs. The only way I would be okay with this is if it were a game mode by itself and didn't affect the rest of the crucible.

It's whining like this that is going to be the death of Destiny, stripping every unique weapon of its value. If you keep getting killed by the same guy who is owning the match I can tell you for certain he is a better player than everyone else in that particular match, it has nothing to do with Thorn. If he's that good he could more than likely use any other hand canon or other class of weapon and still own you. Some guys are just more experienced and effective in PvP. I'm not the best at PvP myself, so I know how you feel. I'm not hating on you, honestly, but you are misplacing your frustration and the result is that you will get one of the last truly good weapons destroyed. Trust me, when you finally get it you'll enjoy using it. I took forever to get Thorn and I love it, but the reality is I've been killed by every other type of weapon while using Thorn MANY times, it's no magic gun. Learn to use your surroundings more, play to the weapons you have equipped and don't stay exposed. Also, I'm not sure if you're aware but being level 32 in crucible is not an advantage... a lvl 10 will take you down at least as fast due to the "balancing" at play in crucible matches.

Tlw is certainly just as cheap as thorn imo. I never used either cause hand cannons dont look right on titans...

Its bad enough the lvl advantages are cut. Now you want them to take our weapon abilities and whatnot too? Cause you know, that doesnt sound like whining at all.

The most I've ever died to Thorn in one match is maybe 4 times. It's not the weapon, it's the person pulling the trigger. Edit: I should have checked first. You've barely played enough crucible to know the maps and how to play them. Play enough to not suck, makes it easier.

2 RepliesHa, after today, I don't know how many monsters I've been murdered by with their Thorns, while I am currently trying to get the 500 points killing people. I was actually at 26 points and went down to 0 again after my last game. I think something should be done. Maybe, at least, implement skill rankings so people like me don't end up being ranked against people who are twice as skilled as me and who have tons of free time to play this game and level up their everything.

Lmao... THE LAST Word is the best gun out of all you listed. If you aren't dominating crucible with it, you need to practice. Trust me and stop calling for nerfs. Just get better.

Exotics are fine as they are, it's just Bungie needs to get a grip on releasing ACTUAL PvP changing content, not re-skinning game modes or just tearing away radars and calling it "Inferno". It woulda made more sense if it got called "Blind Control" for God's sake...
