Changes to Halo 5 Armor

Personally, I have high hopes for Halo 5. The changes 343i are making based on feedback from the beta are really good. That said, there are still things I feel need some work. To be more specific, the armor designs could benefit from some tweaking. One of the biggest problems with the Halo 4 and 5 armor designs is that they are unnecessarily complex. There are a ludicrous number of ridges, edges, etc. all over them. This puts unneeded strain on the eyes as they try to take in all the intricate details. Just to save my eyes from this, I ran Nightfall or Mark VI almost exclusively during the Halo 5 beta. The other problem that this intricacy creates is an issue with customization. In Halo 4, all too often I wouldn't use certain pieces of armor purely because they clashed aesthetically with most of the other armors. With the simplified customization of the Halo 5 beta, this problem only seemed to worsen. I only mixed and matched armors once for about one day of the beta. So, what can be done? Well, for starters, the armor needs to simplified. Keep them recognizable, but simplify them. The Athlon armor is a step in the right direction, blending the style of 343i with the simplified designs of Bungie.
