No the kid was actively trying to cheat. Bungie and Sony shouldn't do anything.
His account wasn't taken it was given. And when he did that he left himself open to whatever that person wanted to do.
He was even trying to make a video of how to cheat the -blam!-ing game and you want us to have sympathy for this guy?
Why should I care that a kid attempting to cheat got his characters deleted?
This is more like a situation of instant karma.

Is there a video of the full conversation though?

I agree.

We are grown men/women. This is a kid who has the right to be forgiven. There may be reasons why he wanted to level up his character. Maybe he didn't have the time that we do, or don't. Just think what you would feel like if that happened to you?

He tried to cheat so what thousands upon thousands of people cheat on a daily basis in destiny its not a big deal they should just restate that kid's account and give him everything he had before
-
Nope. Bungie has made it very clear that anything lost from the consequences of Share Play will not be given back. Simple as that.
-
He wanted to cheat, he wanted to shortcut the game. Feel free to forgive if you want but don't expect the rest of the world to do the same.
-
Bro i bet you have cheated in something in real life or game so dont give me that bull
-
Yeah and if I got caught I wouldn't/didn't cry about it.
-
Ahh stfu KSI wannabe.

You have a point. Although I think if someone else does it, no one should help.
