Here's the thing, I imagine a future world without religion, because we needed religion for literature, music, and art. But we don't need it anymore.

Europe would be split up into even smaller counties which would probably fight each other a lot.

I see where you are getting at and what you are trying to accomplish, but real talk. Your talking about a thing called communism with a twist. You don't want religion yet we wouldn't have as much literature, music, entertainment and so much more that we still enjoy today and no matter how much we wish for we're not going to have peace and no war there's always gonna be a war no matter how much we hope for its impossible. Like I said I get what you are trying to get at but that world will never exit.

A world without religion would be ideal, however humans are hard wired to be afraid of the unknown as an evolutionary tool, thus many use religion as an explanation for the unknown and adhere to it more than family. I respect how religion gives weaker-minded people morals however you are right in saying empathy is hardwired into DNA. All said, i am not religious because there is no concrete proof yet, and i would like my life not to be dictated by a blanket crowd-controlling technique (religion) that people have used for centuries past to gain political power

Here's the thing. Religion can end with just one generation. Now, we shouldn't tell our kids that GOD DOESNT EXIST! That might start a war. We souls instead educate them about science and fact, as well as free-thinking. Then, let them decide. Most likely they would end up atheist. I think that is how we should improve society using that approach. Also, we can't teach our kids about literature without religion. I think we should teach our kids religion AS literature and fiction. We have to approach these things carefully.

God is the one that gives us teaching its up to you to pick if your on Gods side, you can either pick the road of darkness or the road of righteousness, we have free will to make choices the choice you make can reflect many things but if there was no religion I'm saying Christianity because with God didnt die we would bot be able to go to heaven where there is nothing bad but God and his followers worshipping and living with him forever

Without religion, many technological advancements may not have occurred. While I'm not saying that holds true for [i]all[/i] advancements, it does for some.. Many wars were started over religion, and with those wars came technological advancements.

Imagine a world where the Sumerians and the Greeks didn't form civilizations due to no common bond holding the small tribes together
