So I know a lot of people will tell me to stop complaining and stuff, but like really why is the Titans shield so damn weak? Golden gun can destroy it void walker can destroy it, hell even the striker class can destroy it it is utterly pointless in pvp but every other subclass in the game has a use in pvp, what's up with this? Can it get like a little buff or something?
Edit: maybe I should mention that my issue with The bubble is the description, I says it's indestructible, yet it's so easily destroyed. And a lot of you have brought up fair points, some I didn't even think of.

People have the wrong mindset about Defender. When your playing solo it's okay. When you have a team and you give them all WOL = GG. Super clutch when used at the right moment.
-
It's true, in PVP it is the weakest class to play as, but in pve defender has proven itself time and again.
-
Its not weak. Its fair that another super can counter the defender super.
-
1 commentaireThe Defender is mainly a SUPPORT class. Which means that its use in PvP is mainly to protect other team members. if you are looking for a more powerful build....go with STriker. But use of Defender Titans and Sunsinger Warlocks requires some thought and creativity. Espeically in PvP.

Allow this man to prove you wrong http://youtu.be/bJZYvh7rkK8

Shut up I love it
-
Every super has a counter. Defender is more pve orienated I'll admit. I have pissed off while teams with a well placed bubble though.
-
You need to play a strategy that is advantageous to the defender. Make use of the weapons of light perk

1 commentaireFirst, you're talking PvP. And even in PvP, while I would consider it not as powerful, I wouldn't say it is pointless. Defender is generally boring is more of the problem. But PvP is imbalanced among classes as it stands. ALL Titans, while they can be played well, are at the bottom for useful PvP classes. Then Warlocks, and Hunters are, as it stands, better than any class in PvP. In other words, all other things being equal, like player skill, etc., Hunters rule. What there is to fix that I am not entirely sure. I don't really think nerfing Hunters is a good idea. I would, instead, give Titans something to help. Its supposed to be a beefy class, but has a worse melee attack than Hunters or Warlocks, and all of their supers have more limited range. Titans can't even take a noticebly higher amount of damage. You still need to break a Defender's shield in some way or it is OP. It lasts so long anyway. But I would say Titans suffer the most in Crucible/IB

It's a control and a big PvE subclass. It helps protect a zone but in PvE the weapons of light is crazy nice.

Modifié par Specterocity : 1/21/2015 6:58:09 AMOP Bladedancer about to spam you? Suppressor grenade. FoH inbound? Deploy bubble and jump out. If we were anymore powerful in the bubble, no one would risk going in. However I think it should be harder to take out and the user more survivable from supers.
-
Defender might be a useless class in pvp, but it's far from useless in pve, one of the best support classes to have for raids and strikes.
-
It's for pve
-
1 commentaireIf you can't manage to kill a Hunter or Warlock after they waste their super on your bubble you aren't very good. Every hear of sticky grenades?
-
3 commentairestrue, but alongside radiance it's still the best pve subclass
-
2 commentairesIt's only destroyed by people wasting their own supers on it I say its pretty powerful
-
7 commentairesI think the ward of dawn should take off weight of darkness while active
-
Did you know defender was mean for PvE? That might be your problem
-
1 commentaireWho gives a shit about pvp. Defender is great in pve.
-
It's Rock Paper Scissors. Get over it
-
1 commentaireI'm tempted to say that the bubble should stay as it is, just because I love the easy kills on my striker/warlock, but I agree it could use some work. People should fear the purple bubble of doom like they fear other supers, not laugh as they throw a nova bomb at it.
-
I use it in PVE in all kinds of cool ways. OMNIGUL? Once you have the blinding perk unlocked, get up on the bridge and pop it underneath her. She goes blind, as does every other knight, wizard or thrall that steps into it. Then you can just plug away at her til the shield goes down. I use it to trap high level adds all the time. In narrow passages this works well as area denial. Once they step in you can pitch a grenade in there and not worry about splash damage too.
-
3 commentairesIt definitely should be able to survive 1 super without popping and killing you inside. It needs a slight pvp buff. Then it would balance things out.
-
4 commentairesComing from a warlock, Ward of Dawn does need a buff. I don't think supers should destroy it.
-
It's indestructible to any attack that isn't unstoppable. Every super besides the bubble and radiance is designed to be an almost unstoppable attack, dealing instant death to any guardian. You are forcing people to use this ultimate move in order to stop you from having a safe place to stand for like 30 seconds. While it sucks that your super was defeated at least you know that's one less super out there to kill you for a little bit.

The shield is a great cover and serves as a buff dome. It will buff players while providing cover for a period of time. With certain helmets like Helm Of Saint-14 this is a great subclass. Or with glass house
