He loves this gun! Says it makes "PEW! PEW! Lazor sounds" lol! He's only lvl 25 but he's been saving coins to buy something from the "squid guy" for WEEKS now (because we limit the kids game time to 30 minutes a day). Just wanted to say, it made his day to get his first exotic :)
Edit: trending at 100, most of you guys are great, thanks for all the congratulations. He doesn't even know I posted this, I'll tell him in a little bit. As for the judgmental holier than thou crowd, my kids are cooler than your kids. Suck it.
Edit 2: just did Devils lair and 2 rounds of clash(god I hate clash, he plays that on his own) I didn't see the first round but the second he went 7-11 using his IB lol. His times up so he's outside with his brother and the neighbor kids playing destiny with their nerf guns and telling stories about the IB and his first exotic.

7 commentairesThat's a proud moment in fatherhood, when your son gets his first Icebreaker. My boy is only 2.5 but he absolutely loves watching me play. He knows how to make my character dance too, every time I leave the room and come back im dancing with some random and he's laughing his head off.

Great childhood :)

3 commentairesLet me start off by saying I don't have kids and therefore would never presume to tell someone anything about how to raise their child. But in my personal opinion alot of people are way too uptight about this sort of thing. I watched Beavis and Butthead when I was in kindergarden. The Friday the 13th series when I was like 7. I've literally been playing M-rated games since at least the 3rd grade when the ESRB was all the rage, and Turok The Dinosaur Hunter was WAY TOO VIOLENT! I'm 26 now and I like to think for the most part aside from discussing arson and murder in a rather flippant manner at times I'm perfectly fine. I haven't killed anyone, I haven't been to federal pound me in the bootyhole prison, I'm not jamming a needle in my foot. Actually if I were to be completely candid if not for the catharsis of incredibly violent video games for me to vent my myriad of teenage frustrations and angst on...there is no telling what I'd have done by now. As I said before I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do with their children, but if my memory serves looking back on my childhood, little boys have violent impulses. You can't make something like this go away by pretending it doesn't exist. Repression is not healthy. Also it's been scientifically established that given the range of things most people today do with their spare time, playing videogames is actually one of the most productive. It stimulates hand-eye coordination, navigational skills, creative problem solving, and is essentially a vector for learning. I'm glad to see you enjoy Destiny with your young one.

Yay someone finally posted a something positive about Icebreaker from Xur. =) Good on the boy - I love that sound too, nothing better than when 2+ people are using one and you get the Pew Pew Pew Pew and heads popping and exploding all over the shop.

good on you ,my daughter who is 8yrs started an alt hunter on my acc i have not helped her at all and it is at lvl28,watching her in PvP with a plan c and admonisher get positive k/d makes me laugh as i suck at pvp and get destroyed, she got icebreaker last night and is over the moon, she is only allowed to play for 1 hr a day then she goes and does little girl stuff and i will not allow her to use a mic as some of the players i have played with have toxic language. it has caused her to be more creative writing stories and drawing pictures about destiny which has helped with her schoolwork so i will not stop that. have fun.

I guess everyone who plays video games is automatically an expert in psychology. For the record, only you know your kid, so whatever you do is none of my business. My kid loves running around my house with his space blaster gun shooting Vex "destroying robots."
