my 6 yr old and icebreaker
He loves this gun! Says it makes "PEW! PEW! Lazor sounds" lol! He's only lvl 25 but he's been saving coins to buy something from the "squid guy" for WEEKS now (because we limit the kids game time to 30 minutes a day). Just wanted to say, it made his day to get his first exotic :)
Edit: trending at 100, most of you guys are great, thanks for all the congratulations. He doesn't even know I posted this, I'll tell him in a little bit. As for the judgmental holier than thou crowd, my kids are cooler than your kids. Suck it.
Edit 2: just did Devils lair and 2 rounds of clash(god I hate clash, he plays that on his own) I didn't see the first round but the second he went 7-11 using his IB lol. His times up so he's outside with his brother and the neighbor kids playing destiny with their nerf guns and telling stories about the IB and his first exotic.

Games started getting M ratings when I was 14 and best believe I was aloud to buy anything I wanted with my own money. I played metal gear solid for hours straight the night I bought it. I appreciate the time you give your son. Hopefully he turns out better then the stoners all over the forums

It's just a game, I don't see anything wrong with it.. It's not like he's playing Sleeping Dogs or Grand Theft Auto, Destiny doesn't have any profanity dialogue from the NPC or sexual content or a lot of blood and gore.. It's just bullets and things glowing purple blue and red before dying.. People needs to stop worrying and caring so much.. Stop making a big deal out of it.. If the kid is happy let him be, just because your parents didn't let you enjoy life while you were a kid doesn't mean you have to ruin it for others.. Kids these days are more intelligent and grows up faster than you think..

I think this is good parenting. Hes not turning him loose unsupervised, hes limiting his time, and the kid is killing aliens which are nothing like humans which is what kids have a hard time sorting out on these games anyway. Well done, pops.

1 commentaireGood for you OP. Your spending time with your son and it's something you enjoy. Too many parents these days ditch their kids on the neighbours or the Xbox. To those of you that are condemning this parent for allowing his son to play a shooter, just think about it. When we were kids and our folks didn't want us to do something it became our new life mission to do it. What this man is doing is allowing his son to experience something, be able to share it with his friends and socialise with them over it and supervising the boy at all times. This is how kids grow up having strong connections with their family because it's a trusting relationship.
