Deej this has to stop. It's just not fair for your Community.
Nightfalls should only award guaranteed pieces of weapons of legendary quality or above as a final reward for completing this task. Hard work should be always rewarded with great stuff not something that we already have 100+ times in our vault (Ascendant Shards/Energy) and im pretty sure the whole community have 50+ by now even the newcomers. The nightfall RNG needs a fix ASAP. Not fair for the majority of the community to complete a task and not get proper rewards especially the newcomers in this game. Being under Lv 30 and try the Nightfall and see if by a miracle you can beat it. Then you beat it, wait for the reward and get spit in the face. RNG is killing this game. Especially the most important RNG based activity of the week, The Nightfall. If you want to get ascendant shards/energies do the daily
3 times with your 3 characters and you are guaranteed to get 6 ascendant materials or just do VOG on hard to get 25+ materials in just one run. In review, we prefer winning a ramdom legendary/exotic weapon or gear than having the excuse for a prize in form of "ascendant materials". Think about it Bungie we deserve better rewards.
My recomendation
65% Legendary ramdom weapon
15% Ramdom Strange coins or Motes of Light starting at 9 up to 15 (this is a great incentive and doesn't feel that useless)
20% Exotic ramdom gear/weapons
---If this percents doesn't work like that make your own percents just remember to guarantee something good for the effort---
I eliminated legendary engrams from the equation because they usually turn into shards/energy and completing a nightfall for 2 materials seems like a pretty bad joke.
As I said before, materials can be obtained in big quantities fron dailies and raids even patrol just like spinmetal, helium, relic iron and bloom so there's no need for them on nightfalls. Imagine completing the Nightfall and get Helium Filaments as reward. It's the same concept. Materials doesn't belong in the Nightfall.
Good players deserve better and RNG ain't helping. Starting at the Nightfalls and ending at the battlefield of the crucible. If you do great at something expect great things this is how this game supposed to be right? Little by little people are stopping playing this game and it will continue like that until you reward better your community, Bungie.

Switch the exotic and strange coin ratios. Outside of xur nightfall is best chance for an exotic and 5% seems lower then what it is now.

I can agree with some of this as well. However, I think those materials should be relegated to the raid and public events, Afterall the gear that requires them is raid only so why not make the mats raid only too. Public events should also reward radiant mats, if only to fit in with the current scheme of ascendant mats as a reward. But getting a legendary engram, I've come to realize is probably the worst reward...mine only ever turn into 2 shards! I know it's RNG but that is just lousy!

1 commentaireI agree But no coins! Any vet player gets at least 18 a week now and Xur is only good until you get all the exotic you want. No legendary engrams either for reasons you stated

I can BUY legendary gear; why the hell do I want legendaries to drop in the nightfall when they generally come with worse perks than the vendors? I would prefer strange coins, lots of material or exotics. I do not want rare nor legendary drops at all.

5 commentairesCan't agree. Don't have more than half a dozen Ascendant shards. And the majority of the player base has not/does not raid. But I feel your pain. It sucks getting rewards you can't use.

if you guys all got shards it means you didn't do something right. not enough dps, too many revives, team mates joined late, etc. something pissed off rngesus. because these past two weeks, it's been raining. I think it's cause they see their Destiny population disappearing

1 commentaireI completely agree with this post only because right now if you purchased the dlc and own raid gear, ascendant material is completely worthless. Not only did the dlc nullify ascendant shards it made the VoG not worth anyone's time. Bungie plz fix! I also agree with some of these ppl about exotics, you def shouldn't be guaranteed an exotic for the nightfall. To be flat out honest, the nightfall is extremely easy being that there is always a damage modifier. It was harder for me to beat the Weekly heroic than the nightfall this week. Took me all of 10 minutes to destroy Sepiks prime for the 900th time. Nightfall is supposed to be extremely hard and pose a great challenge so until that happens we can't really complain about the drops.

9 commentairesEveryone that thinks the loot system is bad is really dumb. Exotics are supposed to be really rare and if you expect to be awarded an extremely rare item once a week you should not be playing this game. Nightfalls are too easy to solo i solo them every week an yes I have gotten my fair share of exotics and i have gotten a lot of materials but i know that it is completely random and im not as stupid as most people to expect exotics every time i solo a mission that takes 25 minutes.

1 commentaireMaybe i play too much, but so long as they keep making the raid gear need raid specific material, the ascendant materials no longer matter. They will matter for a brief time when HoW drops and I can buy my way to 33, but as soon as I kill that big Captain in that raid and get raid loot, they won't matter again.

I've gotten 7 plan C, 4 thunderlords, 4th horseman, 2 red deaths. Although I'm not completely sure that all 7 of my plan c's came from nightfall but I'm sure the majority of them have. That's why I do nightfalls I thought it was for exotics now. Oh I forgot I got my second Last Word from there as well.

4 commentairesIf they would make the materials radiant instead of ascendant I'm all for them keeping them in the nightfall. Every check point in CE only gets you 2 radiant materials where with Atheon you'd get 8. I'm hurting for radiant mat's.
