Hey guys, I'm set to get married in October. Just wondering how it will impact my current playtime and if any of you will still be willing to group with me. Thanks.

2 commentairesYes it will reduce your game time. However marriage is more important than games. However, I just stumbled on an amazing discovery which has increased my game time by 2 or 3 times at least. My wife got hooked on real housewives. So now she needs time to watch the series and I can play destiny for hours at a time.

7 commentairesI married a gamer, yes it cut back on my play time but that's because we share the system. We share the account too though, so one of us is always making progress on the game when the other is not. Works out beautifully and has prevented burn out for me.
-
Its real simple. Roofie her with zzzquil. Works for me..
-
1 commentaireJust be sure to get a prenup so she doesnt try to take half your exotics
-
It will during the honey moon faze, but eventually you will both want to do your own things. Kids are what really cut into it. That's why I don't play much. I will only play when my Kids are sleeping, or not home.
-
2 commentairesDepends WHAT you're getting married too... i.e. Human, dog, blow-up doll, etc.
-
Marriage no, having kids yes.
-
If you marry a girl who doesn't like what you do for entertainment. You should seek out a new girl.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! *ahem* Yes, it will.
-
7 commentairesYou're asking this bunch of degenerates that question? The same bunch that advised an 8th grader that school wasn't necessary?
-
Listen its just this simple....Women want a man who treats them like crap, they don't want good guys. So, do yourself a favor and meet her needs by playing destiny as much as you want and treating her like absolute crap!
-
Why do you assume marriage is going to change things? If you currently live with her, there will be minimal change. Just do the things to keep her happy and she'll let you keep doing your things (DESTINY!)
-
Obviously

9 commentairesYes my wife hates destiny. Every time I sit down to play she starts bitching constantly.

Modifié par Graham : 1/14/2015 4:35:14 PMI'm getting married in April but video games are already an accepted part of my life from my future spouse. As long as I get my shit done and go to work I can do what I please with my leisure time with minimal conflict.

5 commentairesIf you set your boundaries and let her know that your gaming time is important to you, you'll be ok. Do expect to leave a party mid-raid from time to time though. She might have a bad day and need to talk, or maybe her favourite tv show is on tv, so you need to share the tv fairly. Only start a raid when you know 100% you have 2 hours to spare, uninterrupted. Don't form a raid group when you know "real housewives" is on in an hour, unless your raid group is clutch and you know you'll finish in time. If you can get her into video games or enjoy watching you play, you've hit the promised land. VERY FEW MEN ARE THIS LUCKY.
-
Yes, unless she has her own gaming console. If she is a gamer and doesn't, expect at a minimum of half your play time lost.

Modifié par DemoNyk Turtle : 1/14/2015 4:34:33 PMDepends how old you are and how much you willing to cut down. Me personally I will plan a movie night at least once a week and maybe take her for dinner another night. I find as long as she gets some good quality time with me she seems happy enough for me to play the rest of the week. After all that's why you get married right xD In addition actually my other half likes her tv shows so for like the weekly refresh she catches up so I can hammer it on the night. She has a couple of hobbies too so I grab a couple of hours here and there I am pretty lucky though. Some girls especially if they don't game really see it as a waste of time and the arguments will be unbelievable. Like I said though as long as you pay her attention too your all good xD

5 commentairesGot married for the first time a 58...now 63...she does not really interfere with my game time.

5 commentairesIf you dont already know the answer maybe you and your fiance dont yet know each other well enough to make a lifelong commitment. To be sure, I would sit her down and let her know the times and durations you will be playing. Maybe (if you dont already live together ) have her come over during a typically longer play session so she can truly understand that she will need to find a hobby or something during these time frames. Do not compromise. Any pushback from your fiance should be considered grounds for dismissal. Im married and i play all of the time because she knew from the beginning thats how its going to be. I love her for that and will provide for her anything she needs.
-
Yes. Yes it will. I mean, it depends on how much you play, but... if you play a lot... then yes. Yes it will.
-
Not trying to be harsh here but if you are worried about video game playtime when considering marriage, it may not be your time. I'm married and play destiny often, but I will drop it in a heartbeat if I have to. She's cool though, as she like to play games every now and then. Anyway, just talk to your future wife about your hobbies, if you guys really are in love, she will be understanding.
-
1 commentaireYes, but since you have 3 hunters, you can probably still get what you want as a fast rate, its one of each that is the real time sink.
-
Well if you actually love your wife, you will refrain from Destiny binging. I personally know several marriages on the rocks because of how addictive Destiny is.
-
Not if your wife is as cool as mine!
