12-14 year old destiny players.
Hello I am 14 year old pretty hardcore destiny player I like to think I know quite a lot about the raids and nightfalls BUT! as soon as I join the party and they hear me (I am not a squeaker but you can tell I'm a kid) they automatically assume I am bad. Seriously I'm not bragging but I'm probably more experienced then them. What do you guys think ( adults or kids )

4 commentairesPeople's age should be next to all their forum posts so that we know who to listen to. I'm in my 40's and I feel like Gandalf around here, especially when I read some of the crap you youngins say. Anyway, kids should be allowed to play the game but stay off the forum where they can really get in trouble. My 8 & 9 year old sons did my Iron Banner for me because I hate crucible. They did a great job and beat many an older guardian. Won me a nice sniper rifle too.

Tbh I have a friend who's in 8th grade who is really good and leads raid parties of my college friends. So yeah.

I usually act as mature as possible unless the people I play with arent. I always sword bear cause I'm level 32 and whenever one of them give me a snobby remark I tell them they can sword bear and they usually shut up. Idk destiny is full of kids that think they are better than they are, or a bunch of like 29 year Olds lol

My son is 8 years old and he is actually really good at destiny. He is better at the crucible than me and usually is top three in matches. He wanted to do VoG so bad so I finally got him a group and as soon as he spoke they kicked him. I got him another group but this time I wore the headset and talked while he played. After the Templar I gave him the headset. He finished the raid with me coaching him and explaining each part. He told them he was 8 years old after Atheon and it blew the away. I have a few of those guys on my friends list now and they play with him now. And before anyone says I'm irresponsible for letting him play online and talk to strangers, he is never allowed to use the headset or talk unless my wife or I am there to supervise

We are products of the 80s and dont follow "political correctness" in speaking. Added a few of us are former military and you can pretty much start getting the idea of our joking and ragging on each other. So it is a more mature "interaction" we have. Plus we are also not trying to meet Chris Hanson.

Don't use a mic, or play with a group of specific friends instead of just finding randoms.

Age doesn't matter to me. Ability, and more importantly, conversational maturity, are the big things. That being said, although someone being younger would never cause me to boot or shun them, I simply prefer to game w people who are older. In voice chat, there's more in common, and I don't have to think twice about what I say.

They don't assume you're bad. Adults and kid doesn't play together. And let's face it. Kids are annoying.

I don't care how old someone is when they're playing video games, if they can pull their weight then I'm down to squad up. And I don't get why everyone just cries about "squeakers" like it's not that bad, we were all there at one point in our life.

I don't play with kids. Nothing against you, its just that many of you scream and blow out my ear drums. And I just don't want to play something high tier with some raging kid giving me a headache every time we have to restart. BTW u may not, but a lot of kids out there are pretty horrible. Just don't have the experience many of the older ppl who play destiny. Besides, I like to swear and talk about semi inappropriate things with my friends
