I don't think it sucks, I just don't think it's exotic-slot worthy. I prefer gjalarhorn and Hezen vengeance, and when I get hunger of Crota I'll use that instead of dragon's breath too

The lack of tracking is equally bad since so many other RL's have it. I bought DB from xur because I don't want ot wait who konws how long for ghorn to drop for me. Compared to ghorn it absolutely does suck. No debate there. Next to the average RL it's doing just fine imo.

10 commentairesSlow velocity and RoF. It's just a slow rocket launcher. And the Flare it leaves behind is questionable for use. Sure, it can block off doorways for a few seconds perfectly and it'll damage bosses a lot, but enemies simply move out of the way. But still, it's not as bad as everyone thinks. It's not useless at all, just not that impressive. It's still worthy of it's Exotic name due to the flare and the tribute, but in stats it's a little below average

24 commentairesNo tracking or early detonation. It's just a gimmick weapon that would never be used for any serious encounter. Atheon - Solar flare will cause the boss to move, now you've made your fireteam mad. Crota - He LOVES to sidestep, and your rocket will go whizzing past his shoulder, and your sword carrier will get killed Random Mobs - Killed by the initial blast anyway, flare doesn't do anything Tier 3 mobs - They will just move away from the flare, would be lucky to get two ticks of damage from it. Pretty much the ONLY mob type where I can see this being useful is the Walker tanks, since they don't move away from DoT grenades. But are you really going to use your exotic slot JUST for that?

Let the people with DB shoot crota before he stands again, 2 DB with solar flares doing DOT will re drop him before sword disappears.

Have you heard of Ghorn? Sure it's a good substitute but it's like having a w*** instead of getting laid.

I'm not saying it does or doesn't, but since I got my HOC maxed (No Ghorn yet) I've never looked at my DB again.

1 commentaireBecause the solar flare is useless. Everything that wasn't killed by the initial blast just walks away from it, you'll be lucky to get a few damage ticks from it. It's essentially a solar rocket launcher that looks cool, but is taking up an exotic slot and can be easily replaced by other legendary solar launchers.

The Blast Radius is superb! I took out the three Level 30 witches which spawn in The Chamber of the Night final Checkpoint with one blast.

They are bad at aiming, and super duper hype train. From a pure potential damage standpoint, DB wins out, but it's easier to get full damage from GH. It really depends on what you're fighting.
