My opinion of Gjallarhorn
I've got a friend that constantly nags at me for not bringing this into the raid with me. In my opinion, Ice Breaker and Corrective Measure are a better option to bring. Thoughts to help settle this debate?

I do it like that. Bring both into the raid and use gjallarhorn on bosses. If you run out of ammo or you synthesis us on cool-down switch to icebreaker

Bust out the icebreaker when it's time to snipe then when u reach checkpoint take icebreaker out. Ghorn all around use and icebreaker is situational

They are both the best weapons in game, ice breaker and Gjallahorn. Ghorn takes bosses and adds down MUCH faster. I can deal with the ammo part, it's worth it.

1 commentaireGhorn doesnt regain ammo overtime. Hence ammo is limited. Pop heavy synthesis n if your team wipes that already down to 5-6 shots left for it. Ghorn hits hard but my problem with it is ammo

I switch between the two depending on what section of the raid I'm doing. I agree with your friend giving you crap for leaving it behind. It evaporates minotaurs and the gatekeepers beautifully. Icebreaker won't serve you well when protecting confluxes or gate plates from closer range minotaurs. G-horn is crazy good for confluxes and all parts of gatekeeper stage, and atheon. Icebreaker is good for oracles and atheon. Templar load out depends on how your team decided to do it.

Best setup is relative to the player's style. I for one usually have found verdict equipped in the raid vs a sniper. Everyone always rips on me for it but it works wonders on oracles. I just literally never have any use for a sniper rifle in the raid. I'll either have my jellyhorn or corrective as a heavy, depending on the situation. I would never use the jelly for anything oracle related when the corrective tears them apart. Ideally, I try and only use fatebringer and found verdict for oracles and save my corrective for atheon. During the confluxes you will surely see me with the jelly locked and loaded so I don't have to worry about minotaurs in the least bit. Minotaur on the le... Nvm he's down.

Having Gjallarhorn with you the entire raid is the equivalent of having a 7th raid member...yes it's that powerful. The icebreaker is sweet but you can use several different snipers that are almost just as good.

My team and I beat Atheon ln hard in three portal runs with Ice breakers, Corrective measures, and one person running ghorn. Could of did it in two but my heavy ammo synth ran out.

1 commentaireXbox one Rivals of Crota Raid clan This is a beginning raid group, fell free to join if you are an experienced raider, but this is a group mainly for people who haven't raided before. And this group will so strongly focus on the vault of glass after we do well, Crotas end will be the next target. I will accept anyone level 27+ it would be nice to have experienced raiders so they can help us find everything in the raid.

2 commentairesIce Breaker- IMO, this is just as good as a Gjallarhorn. if you have a Titan Defender with Weapons of Light, multiple Ice Breakers to the weak spot will kill Atheon pretty fast. I also find it useful for killing Hobgoblin Snipers during the Conflux and Oracle stages before the Templar. Corrective Measure- Probably the best MG in the game. incredibly low recoil, excellent accuracy, and capable of cutting down a Praetorian in less than 10 seconds from full health and shields. mine Has Surplus and Field Scout, so ammo pickups net around 100 rounds each time. it's also great against Oracles, even before oracle Disruptor, which makes it almost as good as using GG on normal. Gjallarhorn - this Rocket Launcher's power is of legend. there's a vid on YouTube that shows 6 G-horns with Weapons of Light and Time's Vengeance on the Hard Raid killing Atheon from full health in about 20 seconds. the only problem is that you can't be inside the Shield with it, and losing 1 rocket per death is a heavy blow to the team. you should certainly be bringing it to the Raid if you have it maxed, or at least at Wolfpack Rounds.

Then I swap out for Gjallarhorn and use a heavy ammo synth and solo Venus/right/future or Mars/left/past. I use it for the rest of the raid. Gjallarhorn is much stronger against single targets and there's less risk with it having tracking. Just my opinion.

1 commentaireI prefer to use The Supremacy over Icebreaker. This is one of the few legendary snipers that functions nearly identically to Icebreaker. • Both have identical rate of fire • Supremacy only does 5% less damage than Icebreaker • Supremacy starts at four round mag, but field scout can extend it to 6. • Icebreakers range is almost too much. It's uncommon to find an encounter which would require such high range. Therefore, the range perk on Icebreaker isn't as effective as some of the Supremacy perks. • Supremacy is random attributes. Meaning beast combinations are possible. • Supremacy is legendary, allowing user to hold Ghjallarhorn as well. My Supremacy has field scout and clown cartridge. Reload can net up to a max of 9 rounds in a single sniper mag.

For the Templar, Gatekeeper and Atheon... Gjallarhorn. For everything else I use Corrective Measure. Gjallarhorn is monstrous on Atheon and as soon as Times Vengeance active I hammer him with all my rockets, synth up and hammer him some more. His health just melts away, even on hard. I love Ice Breaker and Corrective Measure, they're amongst my favourite weapons in the game, but if you want a boss dead in as quick a time as possible, Gjallarhorn is the best tool for the job.

Better for Atheon, yes in my opinion. However nothing handles gatekeepers like Gjallarhorn. It's worth it for that alone.
