The DLC was the final nail in the coffin for me. I loved playing Destiny for a couple of months but I started to get bored of it eventually. The combat is near perfection but everything around the combat is either dumb, broken, or lacking. I was so disappointed with the lack of a story, especially since they've created such a rich universe, the stupid grimoire cards are proof of that. To keep me playing I said the DLC needed to contain new planets. I found out it didn't. But I shrugged it off. "At least they'll give us new areas to explore" I reasoned. Nope. "Oh well." I thought. "They'll give us a whole load of new missions to play, something new to do finally." Kinda. 3 story missions, which are all identical and all take around 10-20 mins to complete. Wow. So no new planets. Not even any new locations. And a tiny smattering of missions? No thanks. It seems Bungie's answer to the problem of boring repetitiveness is to give us the same old shit in the same old places. I'm not paying for that and if this is the route they're going with their 10 year plan they can count me out. The minute I learned what was in the DLC was the minute I stopped playing Destiny. This game can be fun and had so much potential but it just smells like Activision are crippling Bungie's creative process. And so in my eyes they're completely squandering a new IP that had the potential to be truly amazing.
