The full release of Destiny isn't even a month old and people are saying "destiny is dead" "destiny sucks" "they lied to us about destiny". Just wait and let them prove their selfs. They still have a long time to do that. And we still got two dlcs' coming. Stop hopping on the "bungie lied to us" bandwagon and give them a chance to show us their vision. But if y'all want to leave, then leave we don't want to hear you're distaste for a game that isn't even a month old. And who knows bungie could deliver what was promised, just not anytime soon.

That is just it. Anyone with experience in developing this type of persistent online game knows that you can't launch with a week of content for the average player. If the play times are 3 hours over week days and 4 hours on weekends (all Bungie #s) and your expansion is 3 months out, you need to have about 25 hours of original and varied content (about 9% original content to available average play time assuming that the concurrency to registered accounts is roughly 20%) to keep people engaged. (276 total average game hours for 12 weeks, with 20 percent concurrency (players connected to total player registration #) gives you and average of 55.2 play hours with an assumption of 50% spent of the time spent in multi-player and grinding). If there was 25 hours of original content in the game I think you would find that people would not have issues with it. As it stands the campaign is only around 8 hours on average. So about 1/3 of what is expected from a AAA title that is something more than PvP with a campaign tacked on for grins (COD, Battle Field, etc.)

1 commentaireIf the DLC were free then I would support you, but we all bought a game not what appears to be a beta.
-
1 commentaireI speak for myself when I say this: This game is not complete. I came for an epic story and great gameplay. Well I got the great gameplay at least. Think of it like this, with soon many good games coming out this month and in November destiny may not make it. Yea some may get the dlc but the issue is will it have enough content to hold ppl for months.
-
There was a time when release versions proved if peoples trust did pay off or not. Today people say "Wait! Maybe they will fix it with DLC in the future"..
-
You're right, because the full release hasn't happened yet. Also, the vanilla game should've been kick ass, not paid DLC. The fact is they did lie, they advertised it as the vanilla game, and it clearly wasn't.
-
The thing is, is that it was released a year too early, and we didn't expect such a small game. After what bungie made sound like a huge, detailed story, we're obviously very disappointed about the outcome. If the game isn't complete, don't frickin release it. Simple as that

16 commentairesProblem is we paid 60$ for a glorified beta. And they are telling us we have to pay for a complete game. Where i can buy tales of xillia and its only 20 and i get a full game. Im trading it in tomorrow, and putting that money on hold for when a better game comes out. If bungie wants me back I will get the GoY edition and it will have all of the DLC. If it goes on that long. Its been a month and for a "10" year game, im bored. Sorry guys.

I still hold hope but what all the "stop whining"people need to get is that it's not like bungie does not have a frame of reference. Did you forget so easily that bungie made halo? Even with out making halo 2, halo by its self was an amazing game. And people still play it today! So there really is very little excuse if this is all there is. But even still if they end up adding stuff before the DLC (or if it is the DLC) they still butchered the games "grand" beginning. The first week in people were getting that stale feeling. But whatever, people will have their opinions....

2 commentairesAnd once its been out for a month... Destiny hasnt even been out six months! And after six months... Destiny hasnt even been out for a year! And after a year... Destiny has only been out for a year! And some people will still not hold anyone accountable. So please... Spare us the speech

11 commentairesSo you expect gamers to pay $90 for a game really? That makes no sense. Why wait for dlc. DLC should be a option not MANDATORY! !! When has dlc ever been mandatory to continue a story? Ill wait. Like what in the flying -blam!-! This is a new all time low for any gaming company. Its BLASPHEMY! Period shit content for $60. I will never purchase a bungie Activision game again myself personally. Bungie/Activision -blam!- us and if you dont see that sir they are still -blam!-ing you with no lube. Also why the hell do we have to wait? When I buy a game I expect it to be complete until some form of dlc comes out! This game is not complete and if you think it is the future of games are going to be just like this bullshit here
-
Did you just tell us to wait for Bungie to "prove their selfs"? Bungie of all people? Who've been developing games for over a decade? Are you serious? And did you just tell us to wait for DLC so the game can be complete? So we paid full price for a not-full game? You're being insulting with other people's money.
-
It's been out for a month. But it's been in development for more than five years. When Skyrim came out did you give them a few months to 'prove themselves'? No, because they already did that in their last games that won multiple awards. How about gta v? When the new COD comes out, are you going to give them several months to prove themselves? How about shadow of mordor? No, that's what the development period is for. Alpha to get rid of the huge bugs and make sure they're going in the right direction, and beta to polish and buff out any bugs that remain.
-
1 commentaireI went to gamestop today. They were people trading in destiny for shadows of mordor. I almost did the same. I just bought the game though. Destiny still hS life in it in my eyes. Just not a lot. I mostly play with my friends
-
3 commentairesWho are you to tell people not to give feedback? What they shipped as a $60 game is lackluster and unbecoming of the creators of halo. I haven't found a single easter egg and have no idea the depth or scale of the story after watching many unskippable empty cut scenes and reading vague grimiore cards. I have every right to voice my feedback in their feedback forum. Go away.

Why people are hating on it is because destiny should have a great story at launch large worlds and as they said never get bored. But that didn't happen unless you like shooting gallery missions and no lore explained you'll love it. But you should have what is promised at launch and that didn't happen. Nobody wants to wait and pay for content that should have been in the original game. They had 500 million dollars were did it all go?
-
1 commentairethe games current release is inexcusable, saying to wait for dlc is pratically insulting to alot of people.

Modifié par Sin : 10/3/2014 12:16:23 AMHell yea skullDeath totally agree wit you 👍
-
1 commentaireSo, what you're saying is that no one should buy this game for a few years until it gets good?
-
Modifié par Skyknight11 : 10/3/2014 3:02:27 AMActivison is the ones that really screwed this game up. Go to Reddit and read some of the columns. I still love this game and will play until its actually dead.
-
My only complaint is, I was hoping for a more in depth single player campaign on the initial release. Other than that, I love the game. I know they're gonna add more campaign material. I was just expecting something bigger campaign wise.
-
I agree with you dude people are getting to worked up to fast I enjoy the game as is and know it will only get better
-
And its only been a month and i have a level 28
-
3 commentairesGive them a chance! We all know how amazing halo is, so we all should realize that this game will be spectacular!
-
3 commentairesLet's pretend, just for a second, that this game wasn't marketed like an MMO. If you knew nothing about the expansions, would you still feel like the game you have in hand was complete? Is it up to par with some of the other games you love and have spent 50, even 100+ hours playing?
-
17 commentairesThe fact that players are already at the repetitive and grindy part just proves that there was not enough story and content. Level cap should have been 50 or 60 and there should have been enough story to get most of that way. This was an incomplete game, chopped up into DLC so Activision could make more money.
-
5 commentairesYea thats kind of the point though in a way. Its only been out a few weeks and its already incredibly repetitive and grindy. So a lot of people are not really tempted to spend even more money on dlc's.
