Hello Bungie! I recently thought of an idea for a possible new piece of equipment or gear. While playing The Nexus in a strike playlist with some friends, I noticed that when I shot a Minotaur with a Void sniper rifle, the damage I dealt was higher than I was used to with that particular weapon and the damage number was purple. I shrugged that off and moved forward to go and kill the next Minotaur hiding behind a piece of cover. I pulled out my assault rifle, ran up to it and emptied a whole clip into it only to remove its PURPLE shields. It was here that I realized that the color of an enemies shield determines it's elemental weakness. Instead of wanting "the best sniper rifle" I now needed a sniper rifle for each element. I then wondered, "Do guardians have an elemental weakness?" I feel like elemental shields that gave better protection against 2/3 elements and weakness to the other would help balance PvP special weapons and add another piece of changeable gear for Guardians to collect to help in PvE strikes and missions.
