"(the 'Bungie employee' who could, in fact, be anyone)" <- The thought had crossed my mind Even if that reddit thread was confirmed a fake, I still find the idea that Bungie would purposefully and willingly allow all of these changes with Destiny's story to take place without adequate reason; and although this information I used to justify my reasoning came from a false source: Joe Staten did, in fact, abandon the project; and we all have already seen the change in in the storyline of Destiny since Joe Staten left. The information that came from the reddit page has more truth in it than any of us realize because it (as I have done) clearly states a logical alternitave to the stupidity that the Destiny community is so fond of. That being said, even though the reddit thread was fake, what we all know about human nature, Bungie, and Activision dictates that we give Bungie more credit than we already are.

  • Oh yes, I almost abandoned the idea of playing Destiny back when I heard the news that Staten left, even more so when he left to go back to Microsoft. If that wasn't the biggest red flag I have ever seen, I don't know what is. The problem I have is that there really is no one owning up or, really what I want to see, pointing us to how the story should work. Harold Ryan isn't making any remarks, Jason Jones has relapsed and is probably living out his life with his family (as the man should after pouring his soul into Halo for nearly a decade), and Marty was fired, so no more thoughts of truly epic fights or cinematic that make you go "WWWWOOOAAHHHH!!". I re-read the IGN article that described the seven pillars, and I realized those pillars are either made of sand or made to be taller than the others. Their product is sliding off the pillars, and someone needs to nod and say "yes, we screwed up. Give us some time to right what we can, and stay with us." I think this is my first calm rustle moment in gaming, haha.
