Can anyone leave their methods for getting out of school. I don't plan to make this a habit, It's just for launch day. And if you leave comments about missing education, my school has a make up work system for kids who are absent. Also before you assume I'm an immature kid, I'm a junior in highschool. And if you're going to comment "Just stay in school, Destiny will be there." Thats not what I'm asking for so don't comment. Any ideas? EVERYONE STOP REPLYING TO THIS POST! IT'S OVER A MONTH OLD.

Don't ask the internet for advice on getting sick for school, it could kill you. The only game I skipped school for was halo 2, and I just threw up.....it had nothing to do with staying up all night playing halo 2 and eating a bag of Doritos, eating a party bag of Doritos will make you throw up easy...

4 commentairesYou made my day. "I'm not an immature kid, I'm in junior high". I don't care what you say, at that age your not mature. That's not a bad thing, your not supposed to be. Anyway ya skip school. Tell your parents your don't feel well but make sure to play it up the night before. Don't be all hyper and feel good the night before. Do something you normally wouldn't do. Like when you get home from school Monday tell you parents you felt a little off all day and just want to go sleep. Go to your room and don't do anything. No games. Then when you wake up in the morning act sick. Also sometime in the middle of the night make loud loud gag sounds. Whatever you do make sure you start this process Monday afternoon. Hell even try to get sent home from school mid day Monday.

3 commentairesDon't miss for launch day. Why would u do that. You will spend half the day downloading the severs will have a few bumps. Take a day off like the next Monday and have a long weekend if it's necessary. I wouldn't miss school this early anyway. It's kinda a waste if u ask me. If u want to miss school to play a video game I'm guessing ur in regular classes so u prob don't have that much work and if u can just miss school willy nilly then u prob don't have practice Ora anyrhing so just play when u get home

-blam!- bro get your priorities straight.
Get destiny, ditch school.
4 commentairesI missed school at a halo launch I believe, or maybe it was another game. Anyways my best advice is to ask your parents if you can miss that day. That's what I did, I told them the game was coming out and I wanted to make sure my game didn't get sold to anyone else because of the popularity of the game. I just hope you ordered a hard copy, and not a digital.

Modifié par BadCyborg : 8/26/2014 5:04:56 AM2 suggestions, first is the truth: Say to Parents, "I have been feeling down lately, unable to focus in school and sad. I'm really having trouble with all the pressure and just need a day off, and maybe try to enjoy unwind. I think if I can take this day, it will help me to rejuvenate and get back on track, or, at the very least, be happier for a time." Just be understanding if the answer is no and tell your parents you love them whatever answer they give. Second is the real truth, admit that, like so many others, you have an addiction to video games. When you feel the need to have or do something regularly, and think about it when not doing it, you might be addicted to it. Just remember, you are not alone. There is a whole community here of video game addicts, like the ones posting replies here. And side note, this may be a junior, but the are plenty of posts from adults who say they are skipping work for the same reason. This is not a question of maturity.

Personally I'd recommend getting caught selling drugs at school September 8th. You won't have to worry about having to go for at least a week.
Listen to everyone else. Go to school.
When I was younger, my mom (along with a couple other friend's) called us out of school the day Ocarina of Time came out and when Metal Gear Solid came out (even drove us to pick up the games at Babbages) I had really good grades and she didn't mind at all. So if your grades are good, your parents should be cool with it. If they aren't then you could definitely use the extra day in school.

Stay in school, no reason to get out of it for day one release.

Repeat. Go to school. Don't be a slacker. Destiny will be there when you get home. (School is a weird word to look at.)

Modifié par SaferMurderweapon : 8/26/2014 2:16:55 AMI'll tell you what not to do, don't oversleep or pretend to oversleep. They will assume you were up late and assume that that game is what's keeping you up late and they will take it from you. Don't give them an excuse to take your Destiny from you. It's better to have a little bit of Destiny than risk having none at all.

1 commentaireThree thoughts: 1) I used to be a teacher and I once saw this elaborate ruse by a group of students: Its simple really. All you need to do is get a number of students to play along with "smelling gas" in the school. Once a few students start complaining of a smell and acting sick the administration has no choice but to evacuate the school and send everyone home. As a teacher, I was actually quite impressed with the scheme. 2) Be a good kid and earn your Parent's trust and respect. As a teenager, I found that good for 2-3 times a year being able to just say, "hey mom I don't want to go to school tomorrow. Just need a day off to relax. Can you call in for me?" 3) In reality, you should probably listen to DeeJ and stay in school. Lol. A video game isn't a great reason to skip school. It'll be there for every minute of free time you have over the next 10 years.

5 commentairesJust pretend to be a potato. They can't send a potato to school.

2 commentairesEat as much Taco Bell as humanly possible the evening of September 8th.

2 commentairesI teach juniors... just because you say you are a junior doesn't mean you are not immature. Skipping school for a game is stupid. And yes I am in my classroom typing this. It is my lunch break, so I can do what I want.
-
8 commentaires
before you assume I'm an immature kid, I'm a junior in highschool
Screw that, I'm a senior in high school and I think getting out for the launch day is stupid. It's only six hours out of your day, not too bad.

1 commentaireStep one: Rent " Ferris Bueller's Day Off Step Two: Watch said movie and see what he does to fool his parents. It a fool proof plan. Step Three: Enjoy Destiny for the day

I'm homeschooled (best thing I ever did. I make my own rules and am done with before 12 everyday!) so I just do a little extra work the day before and I don't have to do work the next day so I can take the day off and do whatever I want (play destiny :D)

2 commentairesSend an email to the director saying you can't make it because you need to save the last city on earth. He'll understand.

6 commentairesI dont get why yall are so impatient. Im on a military base so my copy is being sent to my house, then mailed across the country to me. I probably wont get it a good month or so after launch day. I'd have it mailed to my barracks, but UPS likes to screw everything up when delivering to military installations.

Tell them you were injured celebrating the release of Destiny.
