(SPOILERS!) Saw Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Days of Future Past
1) Gwen dieing sucks, at least in the comics Spiderman got immediate revenge on The Goblin by impaling him with his own glider (ala-Spiderman 1) and now we have to wait for the next movie... shit. I couldn't really connect that much with the villains to be honest. I like the more over the top villains from the originals compared to, say the 5 minutes Rhino got in the film. I can't really even think of a single piece of villain dialog from the new movie. However, the fight scenes were epic as hell, and are WAY better than the Originals in that respect.
2) X-Men - Days of Future Past was a great movie, but I have a few problems. In "The Wolverine" Logan loses his claws to the Silver Samaria, yet in the future portion of the film, he has them back... okay?
Secondly, How much time has passed between "The Wolverine" and this film? We went from slightly futuristic Tokyo to Post Apocalypse Earth. The past was mostly Dialogue, and the only memorable action sequence was Quicksilver's slow-mo scene in The Pentagon.
The future was full of action, but I never really got into the X-Men comics as a kid. Even being a 90's kid, I was exposed to stuff like Gwen's death by my Comic Enthusiast father, who loved Spider-Man and Captain America. I didn't need that exposure in the Original X-Men films, because they usually explained everything, and left the non-die hard followers still having some sort of idea to what was going on. When Cat whipped out her semi-time travel powers, I was utterly lost.
However, I felt all the actors in this film were top notch. I still <3 Hugh Jackman
I'd say the better out of the two was X-Men, what do you think?
