the console – during a live tournament that was being broadcast on Twitch – decided to stop during the middle of the game and ensure that those using the console were the proper owners of the content.
he story was originally captured by FGCNN, where they were watching the stream and noticed that right during the middle of the bout, the game kicked the users out and asked them to verify the content by checking in online.
FGCNN decided to give the Xbox One the benefit of the doubt regarding the DRM incident and did their due diligence by contacting Microsoft about the issue before running the story.
However, Microsoft declined to respond but one of the PR they contacted said to them – before hanging up – “What is 'FGCNN'?”
Well, seems like they were doing exactly what people knew what they were gonna do.
Reel in the customers, and them bam flip the DRM switch back on

They, and their customers dodged a bullet with that one. Well not completely dodged, they were nicked a little but are healing at a good rate.

3 commentairesLol. Good thing I didn't get a console at launch. You know, used my common sense. Now i'm not sure if I should get the Xbox One even if Halo 5 is good.

Modifié par HurtfulTurkey : 12/19/2013 12:09:39 AMThey're playing content offline on a console that wasn't used to purchase it, so of course they were pinged. This isn't the daily checkin thing, this is the same thing that literally every console/platform has been doing since digital downloads began. This isn't news, it's lazy journalism.

1 commentaireWait, they did a 180 on their 180 so: 180 +180 = 360 Xbox 360 confirmed 360/100 = 3.6. Rounded up = 4. 4 - 1 in Xbox One = 3 Half Life 3 confirmed

11 commentairesSeeing as how there are multiple threads on the same subject on the front page, I feel as if this is some sort of /v/ raid from all the Sonydrones. I would really like Neogaf and /v/ to, bluntly, fuck off.
This is a story just asking to generate comments. I have yet to see any other site report this, and since the X1 had been out the thousands of people that have downloaded killer instinct, no one has reported this as of yet that Iv seen. Also at the end of the article it pretty much shows this is the same thing that happened to games on the PS3 and 360. Come back with better sources please.
Quit looking for comments. Also... And MS may be stupid, but they're not that stupid. He lost connection, and he wasn't using the console that it was originally downloaded on. The Xbox wanted to re-establish the connection so it could confirm that the guy owns the game. Just like the 360 does.

2 commentairesModifié par Mobi : 12/18/2013 3:39:08 AMI never had a problem with Microsofts DRM policy in the first place. If you have enough money to afford an Xbox One and games for it then you have enough to afford internet. People blew the whole thing way out of proportion.

No, they were not on The primary console For the content. This had been this eay since the 360. Debunked.
-
1 commentaireWhy is this Xbox not the 360?
-
Sounds to me like the original user who owned the game wasn't logged into Xbox Live. The game license is attached to the console it was originally downloaded on, and then to the user who downloaded it.
-
You're dumb.
-
This kinda sounds like what happens with DLC on the 360

1 commentaireOH NO MICROSOFT TRICKED US ALL ALONG GUYS BACK TO THE WII U

So they did a 180 prior to launch, and then did another 180. So they've done a 360... RRoD Part 2: Electric Boogaloo confirmed! It's over, MS is finished!
