Most Depressing Video Game Scene
In a video game, what scene have you found to be the most depressing?
Mine was in Mass Effect 3.
[spoiler]I couldn't get the paragon interrupt with Tali. I thought that the Geth ran away when you uploaded the code. I was wrong and she killed herself. I had to reload a previous save. Most depressing moment of video gaming. [/spoiler]

The end of ME3 when I realized the ending I got had nothing to do with any choices I made. After all the effort I put in, that was pretty depressing.

Back when I played Sonic Adventure 2 for my GameCube, I got a taste of sad endings in video games.... Later games would do the same; Mass Effect, Half-Life, Assassin's Creed, Halo, etc. [spoiler]then he comes back with amnesia, and I stopped caring....[/spoiler]

Why does Bioware hate quality? Note: I don't think this is the most depressing scene in gaming ever. I just think it's the most emotional in the ME franchise.

Not necessarily most depressing, but the most feels for me was the Jedi Council confrontation in KotOR2 (with the Restored Content Mod). I reloaded and played through it multiple times, it made me feel so much. [spoiler]When the Council tells you you were blinded and deafened, Kreia outside says you were awoken and could see. Then, as the Jedi Council tries to pass judgment on you and sever your connection to the Force, Kreia intervenes and force pushes them all into a wall. "Who are you to pass judgment, when you yourselves have not walked the far reaches and darkest places of the galaxy?" She then kills them all. After that, on the ship, Visas Marr comes to you. "Where they look at you and see the death of the Force, I look at you and see the hope for all life." [/spoiler]

Not that the specific end of Reach was depressing. It was the entire package that almost had me to tears when the game ended. Just... damn. I sat there and watched the credits after I beat the game 1st time. Speechless.
